This book arrived promptly and in brilliant condition.The book is full of very simple but useful advise.My puppy is actually in the book! Gwen Bailey's knowledge and approach to teach the owner how to train is exceptional. It has been a lasting and positive influence on how I have trained my dog over the years. I truly believe that I have had the best relationship and understanding of my dog because of this book.

I purchased this because my puppy was involved in the photo shoot so I am slightly bias towards the rating of this..... but it is a very good book! My dog (pictured on the front page at the bottom in the middle.... the blonde labradoodle) was a complete nut-case! We went to puppy training classes and picked up a lot of little tricks to keep her attention, which are included in this book. She can be very well behaved but her nature is very much to be a little tinker.... which we love her for so can't be too down on her!! genuinely a good book for those wanting to learn a few solid techniques for training new puppies/dogs.

I really enjoyed this book. It is bright and colourful in a typically DK type of style and separated into short sections, with clear photos so easy to work through with your pup. It teaches the basics gently and positively and as long as you stick with it, I have no doubt that a well-behaved pup might just pop out at the end.

I bought this book by recommendation from the breeder I'm getting my new Cocker Spaniel from, and am very impressed. It is quite easy to read, with lots of photographs and clear advice. I have also bought the "How to train a Superdog" book from the same author, which I'm saving from when he is not a puppy anymore. Great recommendation and preparation for when the puppy arrives.

I bought this in preparation for my first puppy, as I already had How To Train a Super Dog and enjoyed that. Its a brilliant book, laid out really well and easy and interesting to read. My pup's breeders were very impressed with me when I showed up with this book full of little bookmarks in the pages where there were questions to ask them!

A very enjoyable read with lots of good advice. Haven't got our puppy yet so we still have to wait to see if it works!

Was recommended to me and so glad I bought it. It's been so long since I trained a puppy and this helped as well as reminding me of all the joys of the puppy such as teething. I rarely recommend books but this one I would to anyone getting a new puppy.
