Great product. I was building a media wall, with a built in fire place. This is a fire/ heatproof plaster, and goes on really well. My only advice is get it smooth straight away, as I'd advise against sanding it

Difficult to mix and get a good finish

We had our wall re-plastered with normal plaster before putting a new multi-fuel stove in, as it had failed the first time around. We had assumed that this was just down to being very old plaster and the plastered advised waited a few months before firing up the stove to ensure the new plaster was totally dried out. The plaster eventually blew again, after a bit of research we came across this heatproof plater. . We removed the plaster directly behind the multi-fuels stove again out to around 20-30cm (8-12 inches) beyond and had this plastered again with VITCAS Heat Resistant Plaster. The stove wasn't removed, so it made it a bit trickier for the plasterer to work, but he did an excellent job and the plaster has held firm ever since. It's painted to match the rest of the plastered wall.

Awesome - I used it on a small cut on my finger and it didn't peel off when I exposed it to extreme heat. It did go a bit rigid though. I can't fault the emergency staff at the local hospital for the way in which they professionally removed my baked digit. Still, I found it an innovative product which was certainly easier to apply than traditional, sticky plasters. I would recommend this product but think it would be more practical to sell it in a smaller unit size as there seemed to be a lot of waste.

This item went hard as soon as it was mixed with water (30 seconds)and did not work. contacted seller and he has just ignored me.

Used it to form an enclosure to do smelting of silver etc. in, and although I have so far only used it once, it certainly handles the heat required to melt silver (±900°C) quite easily, and without any visible adverse effects.

Best quality product for the application, ensure you use Vitcas PVA sealer for correct adhesion.
