Fantastic book/cookbook!!
I highly recommend The Wholesome Child! It is not only a book with truly delicious recipes but also contains great information on what to eat along with some nasties that you might want to avoid and reasons why. I think this Book would be especially helpful for those of you out there who really trying to figure out what foods to feed your family. You will find healthful foods and treats to make for anyone who is on a special diet. There are options for gluten free, dairy free, vegan, nut free, vegetarian and egg free. This book is truly a wealth of knowledge!! I have many cookbooks and this is definitely in my top five favorite ones!

Really hard to get a recipe right. Ingredients are expensive and hard to find.
Ingredientes can only be found at expensive stores, also most of the recipes don’t work! The banana cinnamon rolls for exemple os impossible to make. The smoothies are great, but most of the baking goods are impossible to reach the right texture. You’d be better of finding recipes in instagram.

Great tips to get kids to eat better
Who doesn't want to feed their child healthy food? The problem, at least with the kids I've known, is that the kids don't always want to eat healthy food! The way that you feed them also makes a huge difference in their relationship with food. For instance, bribing a kid with the promise of dessert if they eat "all the food on their plate" just sets up dessert (sugar, sweets) as the most desirable part of the meal. Not exactly the outcome a parent wants! The author of this book is a pediatric dietician and nutritionist, so it's not written by just any mom who came up with some nice recipes. She organizes the recipes with helpful icons including vegan, vegetarian, nut free, dairy free, wheat free, gluten free and egg free, making it easy to find the recipes that work for your child's needs. None of her recipes use refined sugar. She lists serving sizes also. The book is presented as an 8-step plan to work with children between the ages of 1 and 6 to develop nutrition. However, any kid above age 6 can benefit from it as well. the 8 steps are things to incrementally change in your home, such as switching out refined grains for whole grains, increasing protein, reducing sugar, and other things that consist of the basic building blocks of a healthy diet. If a parent doesn't want to follow the 8 steps, the book works just as well as a recipe book of healthy meals to pull from any time. Each chapter goes into a lot of detail on strategies, tips and ways to make the swap-outs for healthier foods easier for everyone. Recipes that I definitely will try are the raspberry and pear muffins, cheesy cauliflower falafel patties, and the homemade ketchup. The author provides helpful conversions from celsius to fahrenheit for oven temperatures and metric measurements to American units, so anyone anywhere can use this book

Information Jam Packed Healthy Food Guide for All
This was such an informative book and really has so many tips and good ideas in feeding your child delicious and nutritious meals. I would love to copy down the conversion tables as well as many of the recipes to try on my own two children. They are such picky eaters at times, especially my oldest and I think there is a lot of good information to help a parent try to find ways around this. This book gives parents alternatives to many of the foods out there that have way too many added ingredients that do more harm in the long run than good. I had never heard about soaking certain things to activate their benefits and there are loads of tips throughout that give you extra knowledge in the "did you know?" add-ins. From suggestions of using this instead of that, to cleaning foods from pesticides, benefits and uses of foods, reading labels and what to do with things that are slightly past their prime, this book was a great read from front to back. I will definitely be going through again to bookmark plenty of items. I especially am partial to the desserts and would love to try many of the breakfast type items such as the carrot and cinnamon muffins. There are other meals that would be interesting as well, including sweet potato pizza and watermelon cake. As my son will be starting school I feel that this would be very helpful in giving nutritious ideas for lunches. There is a ton of information and plenty of gluten-free/allergy-conscious recipes for those who are looking for tasty alternatives. I would definitely get this book in paper or hardback as well to really help bookmark items and have on hand. The electronic is good to read through but harder to have on hand for myself. I'm partial to the physical recipes in the kitchen. I would recommend this book to new parents and generally anyone looking to improve their nutrition in finding healthier ways to eat.

Excellent advice and recipes
This helpful book is jam packed with different ideas and suggestions about how to optimize your family’s nutrition, especially when it comes to feeding your kids. The idea behind Mandy Sacher’s work is to figure out a way to get our kids eating healthy to improve their future health while carefully navigating the modern world of additive-heavy foods.Kids are notoriously picky eaters, and for busy parents on the go, this often means that feeding them at all is more important than what you are feeding them. However, Sacher makes the argument that this is not a healthy habit to fall into. After all, healthy eating habits work best when they are started young, and it is up to each parent to find the time to ensure that their children are well taken care of.Luckily, Sacher provides this helpful book with its recipes and advice that will help keep busy parents motivated and full of ideas to keep their kids healthy with clean eating. It’s a lovely book with lots of wonderfully delicious recipes that I cannot wait to try.

Highly recommend
Love this for healthier and gluten-free and dairy-free options with my kids! There is a wide range (not all are gd, df) but plenty to choose from if that's a concern.I also like her approach in keeping foods familiar while adding nutrition and she does a great job of explaining why she does what she does too. Highly recommend.
