Angelo Parodi - Sardines in Olive Oil with Chili Peppers (10-pack)

Love! Clean clear high quality olive oil and plump great tasting sardines with just the right amount of heat.

Seems less spicy than when I ordered several years ago.

Nice plump sardines; good texture, not mushy. If you like more heat, as I do, try adding some chipotle.

In 2018 I bought this product twice and received what was pictured: sardines with chilis that expired 3 years in the future (as late as 09/2022) and had 550mg of salt per 100g (303mg in a single 55g serving). Today I received a completely different, older product in packaging similar to the non-chili version of Angelo Parodi sardines but with a "sardine piccanti" title. Though purchased a year later, the product expires in 03/2022 or six months earlier, suggesting an 18 month inventory delay. It also contains 2.5x more salt (1,400mg per 100g vs. 500mg), which makes it taste far worse.

Way too fishy!!... I had purchased these in the past so I went for the package of 10, but I was disappointed. I either got a lesser quality lot or their quality has suffered through the years. I shared a couple of cans with friends and had the same report... Note: I am referring to cans that are shrink wrap 10 at a time with the stamp “do not separate”... wonder why... I wont be buying these again

Tried many brands. Angelo Parodi wins, hands down.
