ACCEL TST16 Truck Super Tune Up Kit

I like the product, and I used it on my Jeep. Unfortunately, I won't be ordering anymore items from Amazon, as the UPS driver refuses to deliver to my front door, and instead insists on leaving my packages out by the road, which is a long walk from here, and where anyone can just take off with my packages. He does this to make me mad and, well now I am mad.

Bought this kit for my 98 Jeep tj. Don’t know when the last time this jeep was tuned up. The plugs I took out were gapped at 60 when they should’ve been at 35. Install the new plugs, wires and cap. Everything was a perfect fit. My only disappointment with the kit was, I didn’t receive the red wires Got black ones. Very very minor complaint.

Fit perfect on my 1997 Jeep Wrangler TJ 4.0L, didn't realize how bad the old ones were until I got the new ones installed.

I say this a must do mod for anyone looking to tune up their 4.0 Jeep. I hadn't done a cap and rotor job in 15 years and this went very smoothly. Couldn't have gone any easier. I gapped all the plugs to .035 and replaced the entire cap, rotor, wires and plugs. Time spent- 1 hour.Jeep idles VERY smooth and power delivery is much smoother as well. I am sure my gas mileage will be up a bit as well.My old cap and rotor were chewed up! Credit to the Jeep 4.0L for still running like the beast that it is but those contact points were corroded and nasty!The Accel kit oozes quality. The wires are thick and well made, the cap and rotor have all brass contact points unlike the stuff that was on it which had steel contact points.The spark plugs were alot nicer than the Champions I had in it as well. For a '97 Wrangler 4.0L recently picked up. The plugs, cap, rotor and wires had been on this well running engine long the original .0035 gap had burned to .0060. Two old wires broke on removal, but hey, I was smart enough to order the kit first! Long overdue maintenance, now the engine is running super smooth, does what you'd expect and the exhaust odor is much improved now that it's burning all the hydrocarbons.Nice tune-up kit all in one, quality components you'd expect from Accel, like brass terminals inside the cap, rotor, plugs all pre-gapped @ .0035, quality 8mm wires were exact lengths and dielectric grease is even included.Restorative maintenance returning the original 181 horsepower into full service.

Bought this kit as new, but used look like nothing was installed, but a little, dirty spark plugs had to be recapped plug wires in good shape captain rotor are just OK would expect better from Accel

Kit comes with the correct items but not the type listed in the description. They are all Accel brand products but the spark plugs included are the standard copper core without the U-groove design. The plug wires are also not the higher quality extreme 9000 rather it comes with the cheaper Pro stock wires. This is still a good tune up package but does not include high end parts as the description would lead you to believe. Sent the first kit back to Amazon thinking it may have been an error in packaging, replacement kit was delivered with the same incorrect components so it leads me to believe the listing is incorrect. Not as much of a value when the actual parts you receive are lower end stuff.

Bought and installed this kit on my 94 YJ Sahara 4.0 I6. Was impressed with the quality of the plugs, wires and distributor cap. However the rotor that came in this package did not have a back end that secured itself into its place. Not sure if it would've still worked or not but I decided to play it safe and got an AC Delco rotor at Autozone for $9 bucks. Everything went smooth with the tuneup and I recommend. Just be aware the rotor included in this kit may not fit your Jeep. Another word to the wise, pick up some dielectric grease and place a little glob in the openings of all the wires when placing them in. All that being said, this product still receives a 5 star rating from me. As a Prime member, I received this in 24 hours despite the two day shipping. After being quoted $650 dollars for a tuneup at my local shop, I decided to take matters into my own hands. A tuneup can seem daunting but it is very easy, and this is coming from a guy who doesn't turn wrenches at all. There are tons of youtube videos out there to help you along. Good luck with the kit!
