Seems to be working. Great choice!!
I have a 7-8 year old diabetic cat (true age unknown as he came to us as a stray). We've struggled to manage his diabetes as I'm sure he had it well before he found us. Maintaining an exact insulin dosage has been difficult and we've been steadily having to increase his units; he also seemed very slow, tired and his fur always felt greasy and he had a lot of dander. Since he is an outside cat it has made managing it even harder. I try my hardest to take care of him and want him to live a long and happy life. Once we learned that he had diabetes I did a lot of research on what food to feed him and I had read that Fancy Feast selects was a choice for diabetic cats; so that's what I fed him as far as wet food and we had been buying the cheapest dry food from our local WalMart- until I read reviews about Evo dry food, so we started feeding him that right away. He recently went in for his glucose curve and his numbers were not good. He had previously made his way up to six units twice a day and his vet said to bump him up to 7 units twice a day. She then told me that feeding him Evo dry food was a great choice but suggested that we do the same as far as wet food because it's high in protein and that's healthier (and made from 95% REAL meat). I went out the SAME day and looked for the Evo canned food but was unable to find it in store; we were able to purchase a few cans of another brand with the same stats to hold him over until I could find it online and have it delivered. The package arrived two days later (and I made the purchase late in the evening- around 8-9pm). I started feeding it to him the next day; it's been one day shy of a week and I am already seeing changes. I know it sounds crazy but he seems to have more energy and is walking faster (he was really slow and lethargic before), and his coat is already showing signs of less dander AND it's not oily anymore.Although a little more expensive than the previous wet food we were feeding him it's definitely worth it. It's a great choice all around.I'll come back after his next glucose curve in a few months and update on his stats. I'm hoping this makes enough of a difference that we can at least lower his insulin dosage..and I think he just feels better overall.

Cat food is fine, but the shipping packaging was awful.
Nothing wrong with the cat food (it's low-carb, and with a minimum of grains, making it ideal for a diabetic animal), but it arrived and when I opened it several days later, some of the cans were badly dented, and one had actually opened (ick). The case had been just dumped into a larger box with no bubble wrap around it or even paper crumpled around it to provide some cushioning an protection from the inevitable bumps that happens when items are shipped.

Not Eligible For Return
It's a good quality product for diabetic cats, and I had bought a couple of cans at a pet food store and thought my cats liked it, so I ordered a case online, but the cats no longer like it. I wanted to return the case I bought online, but guess what-- NOT ELIGIBLE FOR RETURN. So, make sure your cats like this food before ordering, otherwise you'll be stuck with a $35 case of cat food, OR just buy it at a pet food store or another shop on Amazon which allows for returns. This is why I'm giving 2 stars: good product, but can't return it if needed.

Sadly my diabetic cat doesn't like wet food but I'm giving her EVO hard food ...
I have two senior cats, one diabetic (thanks Science Diet!) and one with kidney problems. So I needed something both low on carbs for the diabetic one and something low on phosphorus for the one with kidney issues. The EVO food fits both characteristics. Sadly my diabetic cat doesn't like wet food but I'm giving her EVO hard food that's still pretty low on carbs while I try to transition her to wet. The other cat loves this wet food though, so it's a good fit for my cats.

"Hated It!"
This cat food was highly recommended by the breeder whom I bought my Savannah cat. The kitten loved this food for the first four days, then quit eating it. As a matter of fact, she would go through the scratching motions to bury the food. My other three cats would not touch the food. They would eat the dried cat food over eating Evo. Because the cat food was not returnable, I ended up giving the unused cases to a cat shelter. Hopefully their cats enjoy.

Satisfactory
There probably isn't anything wrong with the food, but my cat who is vomiting frequently would only eat it one time.

Great grain free cat food for grain allergy and finicky eaters
Have elderly cat with food allergies. We have tried many grain free foods to varying degrees of success. She is very discriminating to the point that the chicken and turkey kitten food made by Evo will not be eaten. This is what she loves at this time.

Caused diarrhea
My two cats seem to like it, but it really cause my skinny black cat to have diarrhea. I guess I will try to just mix it with the other food to finish up with the case. Won't re buy.
