DELICIOUS COOKIES (You get what you pay for.)
I had a problem with my order in that it somehow was never shipped based on tracking information from courier, but stuff happens. The seller responded to my issue with good customer service, and all is well that ends well. Moving on to the important matter -- quality of the product. These are VERY GOOD cookies -- made in Germany with high-quality, tastey ingredients (not so healthy for you, as many desserts are, so must exercise self-control & ration yourself to small portions). My box of 12 boxes expires 10/31/2019 -- 11+ months from the date I received, so they are VERY FRESH & GOOD! I will buy these again, but one problem is that the price just increased 9.4% which will cause me to look for an equally satisfying substitute treat/dessert.

Whole wheat cookies without preservatives
Our local Wegman's grocery store use to stock these. But now for some reason, they only stock the white flour butter cookies of the same brand. Because I don't eat refined white flour, I was bummed and like to have a biscuit with my morning tea. We started ordering these by the case, and they last a pretty long time (18 packs) and stay fresh. They are about the same price per pack as they were in the super market. I would think they would be a little less cutting out the middle man, but that's not the case. However, I like these cookies, they aren't too sweet like some. In a town with a food coop/health food stores, huge supermarkets, I'm so surprised no one has a decent whole wheat biscuit. I've tried many that are available where I live, but chose to order these by mail because they are the best I can find. They arrived super fast after ordering, days before the expected time of delivery.

Arrived in perfect condition
I use these for a wedding order treat of 120 mini s'mores. I wanted to write a review because many documented the cookies arriving melted or smashed or in otherwise not good condition. Mine arrived in perfect condition, not melted or with any defects. These were priced much better than in store and worked perfectly for my needs.

Arrived melted and stuck together in a whole messy block...
I will still eat them as they are delicious! But if you plan to impress your guests with some tasty treats you should rethink your strategy as these delicious "First Class Dark Cookies" will land to your door as a messy block of wafers and chocolate, far from resembling a first class cookie or even a cookie. I will wait for winter time to order this again. LOL

I wish they didn’t taste so good
They aren’t anything special. I like having a few in the morning with my coffee as a treat for just getting out of bed. :)

A mess
Not sure if these are edible.Came pretty quick but all a melted mess. Not very good for $50+ dollars. They were for a party, but I don't think this unappetizing cookie will be a hit. What a mess !!

Bad Looking Dark Chocolate
I love dark chocolate and have bought these Bahlsen wafer cookies before and they're delicious, but somewhat difficult to find and somewhat pricey. When I discovered these on Amazon in a bulk case, I thought I'd give them a try and figured I could give the extra boxes (I don't need all 12 boxes in the case) as gifts to friends and family. The case arrived in good shape and since it has been about 60 degrees outside for the whole past week, I wasn't concerned about the chocolate melting or anything like that. When I opened up the first box, I was dismayed to see the dark chocolate looked discolored or oxidized. The cookies I had in the past were topped with a smooth, dark, glossy chocolate that clearly showed the Bahlsen logo and name, like the picture on the box. The chocolate on the ones I received were rough, dull, and inconsistent in color. They looked like really really old, ancient dark chocolate. I checked the expiration date to make sure these weren't boxes that slipped through the cracks and expired for decades, but the expiration date is 11/30/25, which is 8 months away, so not expired. I opened another box and it was the same dull, rough, oxidized-looking chocolate. I took a chance and ate one cookie from the first box I opened, and it tasted fine. The wafer cookie under the dark chocolate was still crisp. I just don't know why the chocolate looks like something that came over on the Mayflower with the Pilgrims. If I don't experience gastro-intestinal distress later in the day, I will assume the cookies aren't bad and still edible. Again, the cookie tasted good like the others I've eaten in the past, so I still gave 2 stars (which I will retract if Montezuma gets his revenge on me a few hours later). I'm hoping this is just an aesthetic issue and not a food safety issue, but either way, the chocolate looks so bad I can't imagine giving these boxes as gifts to anyone I care about, and since these aren't returnable on Amazon, I'm stuck with 12 boxes of cookies with suspect-looking chocolate.*Update* So I didn't have any issues after eating the cookies, they tasted great, so it is only a cosmetic issue with the chocolate. I want to report that Bahlsen reached out to me after I posted my review and they offered to make things right, which is extremely commendable and shows a level of customer service you don't see too much anymore and I have raised my rating accordingly.
