Hi Linda. Mine appears to be within 1°F. Plenty good enough to monitor the weather. As a standard, I have a 14" Fisher mercury in glass laboratory thermometer accurate to 1/4°F, which I trust. I use two display stations (upstairs and downstairs) running off one outdoor transmitter. They both read exactly the same at all times and are now about 2 years old. Hope this is helpful. Don

Q: does it work in very cold weather, negative degrees

We live in Texas. It was fine for 4 years until our first cold front came in 2 weeks ago. We went down to 60 F when the sensor stopped working. I ordered a new sensor with amazon. That one stopped working after 3 days when the next cold front came in at 55 F. What a terrible waste of money. I'll be calling La Crosse on Monday.

Q: can you hang from wall?

Yes. It has a slot with a hole in the bottom, (sort of like an upside-down keyhole) to slip over a screwhead and slide down to hold in place. Sorry about the description, hope it isn't too confusing. In short it would be very simple to hang on a wall.
