Good sound quality, but can't use on Xbox360 connected wirelessly to network
I can only use this headset on Xbox 360 systems that are wired to the network. If I try to use the wireless connection from the Xbox 360 to my router the Xbox loses connection within seconds. When the USB adapter is unplugged, the connection is regained (but my headset is no longer connected). When using a network cable to connect my Xbox 360 to the router I can now use these headsets. The sound quality is very good, despite my having to use a microphone jack to connect to my audio device (Pioneer receiver). I use the HDMI connection from the Xbox to my receiver, so the provided cables are not compatible with this setup. It is an awkward audio setup because I run my audio (and video) through my receiver via the HDMI connection. If you use the standard red/white RCA jacks from the Xbox to your TV then the provided cable setup works perfectly.I would give them a 2 or 3 out of 5 for their connectivity issues with a wireless connection, as well as the 'low fidelity' RCA jacks as an input to the transmitter. However, because the sound quality is very good I rated the product a 4 out of 5.One other annoying thing is about this headset is that when talking through the chat/microphone, you can't hear any feedback of your own voice. When it is functioning properly, it sounds like a normal microphone that is muted/not working. Because the chat still works fine, I didn't discount their rating. They have a pretty cool feature that allows you to reduce the game volume when your friends are talking so they are audible. You can also turn it off if you would rather hear the game instead of your friends, too. So it has good functionality with the various options. Also, the sound quality has no cracking and popping unless you are around 25-30ft. away, when it starts to cut out. I would recommend this product to people looking for an intermediate or entry level wireless headset for Xbox 360. You won't be disappointed with its sound quality, ability to hear footsteps, grenades, etc..Not to beat a dead horse more, but my last complaint is the Xbox Controller audio connector (to the controller) can only be done without a chatpad installed. If you install the chatpad you can't connect the headset. It basically means that if you want to talk to your friends you have to remove your chatpad if you have one installed on the controller. If you are just playing without chatting you can still hear the audio just fine.I also do have a complaint in with SteelSeries regarding the interference with the Xbox's wireless connection. I'll update my review when I hear their reply.

Disappointed
I bought a pair of these after doing research on other similar wireless gaming headsets. I do not own another pair of headsets to compare these to.The Good:-Three Different Sound Qualities-Sound quality itself was great-Live Mix which separates your friend's voices from in-game sounds-Extremely Comfortable, and I have a big headThe Bad:From 11 feet away with a direct LOS, continually received crackles and pops in my headset. I didn't notice static, just every now and then would have a crackle and pop, sometimes disconnecting the sound for up to three seconds unless I moved my head. I attempted the following:-Attempted to move the mixer around, away from the wireless router.-Turned cell phone off-Turned laptop off-Turned baby monitor off-Turned every wireless contraption offI still continued to receive crackles and pops from what I imagine is the headset losing connection. Also, upon plugging the voice dongle between the controller and the headset, I received a constant stream of static in my headphones. It's extremely noticeable and I had to unplug the dongle after a minute or two. I attempted to try an additional two times with no success. These headphones also somehow seemed to affect my wireless router range. The same day that I plugged this in (and the mixer stays on even if the XBOX is off) I could not access my internet 20 feet away from the router. I could previously walk down the street a little bit and still have connection. I turned off the mixer, and bam, I could walk down the street and access the WIFI like normal. It also caused signal from the router to be dropped as well. I'm no tech geek so I can't back this up with frequency lingo, but I'm attempting to look at this logically. It has to be these headphones. So now, if my wife wants to use WIFI upsairs while I'm using my headphones downstairs, she hasn't been able to. That, along with the crackling and popping noises, has made me reconsider the purchase. Returned the headphones, I expected much more from this product. For reference, my setup was an E2000 Wireless Router, Wired Xbox 360, Baby Monitor, these headphones.

Not the all in one i was looking for
I bought this wireless headset to use for my pc. I know its a Xbox headset but it read in the description it was pc compatible. So I bought the thing and found it needed the 360 controller to plug into for the microphone portion. And although it has no cords running directly to the system it has quite a bit of setup i.e. the transmitter has cord to the system for power and another for the r/w audio cables, and a cord from the mic to the controller. Not the most plug and play setup. If all I were to use was my console this would be a great wireless option, but for an easier and more complete pc experience (albeit not of the high quality) I would rather use my 30$ Plantronics.

TERRIBLE . NO Mic FOR PC
this product didn't mention in the bullet points that a mic was not wireless , nor is it wireless for PC., Does not work, also the batteries had exploded in the packaging pieces were covered in a white powder that gives chemical burns .This is an old out of date, not as advertised product that sucked. I rated it a 3 so you would read the reivew, but I would rate this a zero I;m going to throw it out and try again

Sound Quality Is Very Good But It Suffers Sometimes
I like these headste, it is comfortable, wireless (excep for a wire that goes from the headste to the controller) and it devides into 3 peices for easy storage.A downside is that it uses 2 AAA batteries, but with some rechargeable ones this becomes nothing. The sound quality is pretty nice, but sometimes sounds a little weird for like half a second, nothing i can't get over preety quickly but definitly something to notice.I like the easy setup, you plug in an aux cable to an included convertor and plug the small (about a deck of cards) box into usb and you're ready to go.I would recommend this to most people as long as they didn't mind the sound issue.

A éviter
