Q: Is it really silk? Some reviews say NO.

I have 4 of these pillowcases that I ordered in the past that WERE silk. I just ordered two more, and they are NOT silk. They look and feel like polyester. I cut a piece from the inside to do a burn test, and it went up in flames, burning all the way down to a hard plasticky nub. Real silk stops burning when removed from flame, and the burned parts are easily crumbled into a powder.

Q: Is this pillowcase healthy for African American hair?

Absolutely!!! I am African American. I have purchased another Ravmix pillowcase because the first one is sooooo comfortable, excellent for the hair and not only that, excellent for your skin. Please purchase this product; you will be so glad that you did. Hope this answered your question.

Q: The box contained a detailed instruction how to verify silk genuineness and no sample of the fabric. what i supposed to do, to burn my new pillowcase?

I also received no sample, yet a very detailed, full color, glossy insert with instructions on testing the silk. It says to burn the material or use chlorine to confirm it is 100% real silk. I tried the QR code and it’s not readable.

Yes it has silk on both sides.... also I've had good luck laundering it.
