The Pathfinder School Stainless Steel Alcohol Camp Cooking Pack Stove

This stove works awesome! I did buy the multi functional stand that goes on it from the Pathfinder School website. It doesn't leak and get really hot so make sure it on something like a rock or something non flammable. It boils a full Pathfinder stainless steel cup of water in around 11 to 12 minutes. It's super light and perfect for coffee, hot drinks, freeze dried meals, and soups but you could cook eggs and bacon in a small skillet as well, I use a #39 cold handle skillet from the 1800s.. I'm very pleased..

Great quality build, feels much more substantial than other stoves I've handled and it flat out works. I tested it on a day that it was in the high-20's with a good steady breeze around in the mountains and to my surprised, it had my Dinty Moore bubbling in 5 minutes. That's damn good. Highly recommended.

It's ok

So far I'm impressed with the stove. Seems to burn well. Works great with the pathfinder canteen kit and can also purchase the attachment metal to be able to use a cook pot or pan on. You can use denatured alcohol or HEAT (yellow container) for automotive gas tanks to fuel it. I would recommend a wind screen of some type to keep the heat and flames going up.

I love this stove simple and effective. The body doesn't get as hot as the brass versions so with light gloves you can move it around if need be. The one and only down side is you can't use the flame regulator with the pot stand. That being said a simple modification could fix that. All in all I'm more than happy with this little stove and will probably be using it for quite some time.

Awesome stove.....flame blooms completely after warmed up, very robust construction, high fuel capacity, boils 12oz. of water in 4:30(ish) , fits inside 16oz GSI cup w/lid on. Overall great stove for bushcrafting and also hiking/backpacking due to its size & capacity. Doesn't weight a lot either.

Worst purchase of any kind on Amazon, EVER. Flame regulator was loose and would not stay on the unit. A minor inconvenience that I could live with. Doing the initial burn in as instructed on the web site, it failed to bloom. Looking closer, the inner wall was loose and moving from side to side causing it to put half the jets in the inner chamber. This product is absolute garbage. Where is the zero stars button? Here is an issue. Since it has now had alcohol in it, it is considered used. How am I supposed to ship it back? Well, I will try. Save your money on this one

Incredible! !! Best alcohol stove I've ever had!! Good fuel consumption, light weight for its size, very compact, holds large amount of fuel (around 40 minutes worth) The "O" ring is seated nicely so no leakage of fuel in your pack. Side note/tip.... use gel fuel capsules and melt them into the fuel compartment, that way when it's not in use the gel will solidify and eliminate any chance of leakage, (never had a liquid fuel leak with this one)

私の場合アルコールストーブはメインではないがサポート的役割。テント前室での使用、焚き火をするまでなくちょっとお湯を沸かしたい時、焚き火とは別のコンロとしてなどだ。使わない時もある。そうなるとアドバイスされる。軽量でコンパクトな…うんたらかんたら。私はタフな物が好きだ。メンテナンスなどしない。使いたい時にしっかり機能してくれないと困る。それでたどり着いたアルコールストーブがこの製品だ。ステンレスで丈夫、大容量なのも良い、水が沸騰するのに必要なアルコール量などちまちま計算して使わないのだ。五徳も付いてる。消火蓋ある。どんな時でもなんとかなる。

I knew what I was ordering. It comes to bloom way longer than a world standard Trangia. It produces less heat. I knew that in advance. But in case you need a “long playing” burner it is excellent.

Should have known, this a great design but stainless steel is the wrong material for a stove. I mean it works, just not well and life’s too short to mess around with stuff that doesn’t work well. My opinion

Questo fornelletto lo consiglio vivamente anche in alternativa al classico Trangia che utilizzo da anni. Il Trangia infatti è un po' più leggero ed economico ma quanto a prestazioni il Pathfinder è, secondo me, migliore: fiamma più regolare per tutta la durata dell'accensione, maggior capienza e consumo d'alcool mediamente inferiore (oltre a aver inglobato il sostegno per poterci cucinare sopra).
