We spent a lot of time looking for the most useful variable height stand and this has proved to be an excellent choice. The tripod legs made it very stable. It has a remarkable range of height adjustment (from 80cm up to 128.5cm) - great - I'm tall but my wife is short! It is light weight - so easy to move or, when packed up, easy to transport eg to use as a lectern to give a talk.The shelf on top (40x50cm)is flat which we prefer to one with an edge because we can fix a larger board on top for jigsaws etc. You could always clip an edge on if you need one. It rotates through 360 degree and tilts from front to back but not from side to side. It is made of a hard plastic with an orange-peel effect on top so should be very hard wearing.The stand looks functional, utilitarian, perhaps even industrial. I like this but I know some people will want a stand that looks more like traditional furniture.

The first one arrived, scratched, gouges on the pipework and missing a blank on the t bar pipe. The base had marks and scratches.. it appeared to be a return. I cannot fault the Amazon customer service team, they immediately organised a replacement which arrived in short order. The replacement - whilst missing the gouges was scratched on the pipework, the base for the laptop to sit on was in a worse condition than the previous effort and the T bar was not even level.Pyle..... descriptive of the workmanship and product quality control. On the plus side the base materials were of a reasonable quality and it was sturdy, pity that the assembly and finish let it down.

WARNING - The top is NOT wood! It's solid plastic!I also had to return mine as it wasn't made properly. The "T-bar" was incorrectly welded at an angle which was quite clearly nowhere near 90 degrees. Consequently, you would have a constant "sideways tilt" and not just front-to-back as you only should have. How this passed QC, I will never know - perhaps they were all drunk that day.That said, the actual tripod part was well made and quite rugged.

I tried find not too expensive good looking, light and high quality table for giving PC training (where to put laptop, mouse and papers). It was exactly I needed! Also it took just some days to transport it to Estonia. Thank you!!
