HP Chromebook 14 G3 14" LED Notebook - NVIDIA Tegra K1 2.30 GHz K4K11UA#ABA

I bought this used but in good condition here at Amazon for $170, thinking it's a bargain. When I got it, I noticed right away the keyboard does not work well. As matter of fact, after inputting a few letters/numbers, it would stop altogether. Extremely frustrating. I resort to using a keyboard from my desktop with usb connection, but that defeats the purpose of a laptop, having to carry around a separate keyboard.The built in speak is also non functional, the sound from it is so muted I can hardly hear anything at all. Besides these two defects, the rest of the chromebook is rather nice, processor seems to be fast, screen bright and sharp. But with the aforementioned defects, it is unacceptable and I am going to use it as a back up, for watching video where typing is minimal. Oh well what can one expect from a cheap $170 computer. Lessons learned: do not buy used, no matter what was claimed as good condition, also check out reviews from difference websites. I did read a lot of complaints about the keyboard on this particular model, that's where I learned how to use the usb keyboard attached to the chromebook. I am researching right now on different websites on purchasing another one, only this times no used and with highest rating by verified customers.

Nvidia chips are FAST! I bought this chromebook because I knew of the quality and speed of Nvidia chips. Nvidia chips use less power, allowing your battery to last longer and provide speed. The monitor is large. The keyboard feels strong. It connects to the wireless faster than my Samsung chromebook. When looking for the Nvidia chip chromebook, make sure you compare the RAM and Hard drive specs. The specs get confusing. This computer has 4GB of RAM (high end) and 16 GB of SSD (Solid State Drive is the fastest and most reliable out there).If you are shopping for a chromebook, think about what is important to you:Monitor resolutionMonitor size4GB of RAM allow more open windows compared to 2GB of RAM. The computer will slow down if you have too many windows open or if another user has open windows under the log-in.SSD is faster than eMMC

Even though the Chromebook I brought isn't even 5 years old it won't receive any more security updates. This should be in the ad. The last update it will ever receive was in September. I bought it in December. Very disappointed

Price was right it's a great chromebook. Light use machine battery life is alright, great size monitor. The machine is light weight but doesn't feel cheap.
