Gives you a bit of that gunsmith feeling at the kitchen table.
This is probably one of the best purchases I've made on Amazon over the years and essentially paid for itself within a few months of ownership. If you are a tinkerer/customizer or builder who changes rear sights with *any* frequency, you would definitely benefit from this. Anyone with a modicum of mechanical knowledge will quickly get up to speed and know what they are doing after a sight swap or two. It's a bit heavy on the heavy side, but it probably needs to be, and the carrying case with the custom-cut foam inserts helps mitigate some of that. It's a great buy overall, and I'm super happy with it.

Surprisingly good!
My CZ 75D compact PCR sight was factory installed way out of alignment. Tried using a wood dowel and hammer to drift it and the sight would not budge. After reviewing many sight pushers on Amazon, and knowing I would rarely use it, I did not want to spend over a hundred dollars for a tool. My expectations were low but was I surprised…..bigly. I used a shot of WD40 to provide some lubrication and let it sit overnight. The slide locks up solidly in the frame and the sight was easily moved with almost no effort. I would recommend this for the amateur home non professional gun smith for occasional use.

Fits big boy g40.4mos w/suppressor sights
I wasn't sure if this would fit my slide, so, for anyone wondering, this WILL install suppressor height sights on a G40.4 MOS slide. Just have to remove the optic, the mos plate can stay on though.Surprisingly well made.Had to tap the slide holder bits in with hammer and punch.Ensure that the slide is fully secured, or else the pusher will flex.A tiny bit of oil on the dovetail will help it get in to place better. It's kind of a pain doing minimal movements to center the sight, it's hard to feel the difference between getting all the slack out of the tool and the actual pushing of the sight. The body of the pusher is indexed, but I didn't find it very helpful.Definitely recommend this over my usual hammer and punch sight installation. This will be sitting on the shelf waiting for the next new gun day.

Pusher works good - but has some issues.
The pusher works very well. Had a lot of trouble inserting the plastic slide holders - it was impossible to push them in - I had to file them quite a bit in several places to get them to fit at all. Once I got them installed, they worked perfectly.

Outta sight pusher. Yeah, I said it....
Wonderful sight pusher. I wish I had found this earlier. It’s affordable and does the job.I used a block of wood and a big hammer (not a framing hammer but a big mallet/Thor looking heavy hammer) to get the rear sights off of my new cz SP-01 tactical. I can’t believe how much force was required to remove the rear sight. Yes, the set screw was removed.Rewind to 2 days ago, my new cz P-01 arrives and I get to work on swapping the sights. Well, my Thor hammer and wood wouldn’t budge the rear sight. I mean, I was smacking it so hard the wood would splinter. But the sight didn’t move at all. I was using a big vice too. I squirted some penetrating fluid (not wd40, that doesn’t do anything) and went to bed. The next morning, I tried again and again, it didn’t move one bit. I was getting worried that I would eventually damage the slide if I continued so I start to look for an affordable sight pusher. So I found and bought this. The sight was off in a minute, no more drama. This pusher is highly adjustable and made short work removing and installing the sights. It was easy and effortless. The pusher is nicely designed and comes with polymer blocks to protect your guns finish. It has a cool turntable that your slide sits on so you can set the proper height. It is a nice anodized blue color with engraved instructions and a nice sight window to check your work. It even has a graduated scale to measure how far you pushed your sight. All knobs are knurled and this tool does NOT feel or look cheap in any way shape or form. As far as tools go, this is rather cool looking. It also comes with a nice nylon zippered case for storage.I can’t comment on other pistols but if you have a new cz p-01 or sp-01 and you want to swap the sights, don’t kid yourself. Do it right and do it safely and get this tool. I think I was lucky with my first gun and if I had found this back then, I would have bought it.It seems kind of pricey to spend on a one time thing but this tool, you can display it on your work desk and people will ask you what it does. You can then tell them it’s a prototype atom smasher and they will believe you. It’s that pretty and interesting looking. You can also make more friends at the range and help other people replace their sights. Ask for a six pack in exchange or have them wash your car or ask for a box of rounds or use it as a nut cracker during the holidays. A giant walnut will easily fit. You can shear the top off with no muss/fuss. Who needs those ugly wooden soldiers when you have this thing. Your mother-in-law will think you’re a genius, when you use it to crush peppercorns for fresh pepper when you have dinner at her house. It can help mask her horrible cooking, the opportunities are endless...I’m going to use this tool as a centerpiece on our kitchen table. It will be a fun and whimsical change from the boring Flowers my wife usually has on display. In all seriousness, It will cost you 25 or 30 dollars at your local gunsmith to get your sights replaced. Then, you need to verify and you may need to adjust your sights, so back to the gunsmith you go. How about when a new sight comes out that you want to try? It will save you time and money eventually paying for itself. It really is a great tool and you won’t be disappointed. Sadly, I did not receive any incentives for this review. I paid full price for this tool. I’m still trying to figure out how that works. The end.

Nice rear sight adjustment tool but…
This review is limited to several attempts at moving the rear sight on a Colt series 80 combat commander. Looked at several U-Tube video of this tool in use before trying it myself. After releasing the rear sight set screw, I put the slide into the tool. Noticed that I needed to have the slide centered and tool arms to push the sight clearing the slide. Proceeded to try to move the rear sight to the left (as needed to adjust impact using a pistol rest), no movement. Did observe the wheel used to raise the slide had tilted. Reset slide in tool and tried to move the rear sight again to the left wo success. Had the top slide retention bar on slide with each attempt. Checked to ensure slide was evenly sitting at the frame rails.I’ve used the pads provided to hold a 1911 slide. Two thoughts: 1. The dovetail may not allow any left movement; and/or 2. The rear sight may have a locking compound under it.At this point I’m waiting for a gunsmith to check everything when I get some other parts for him to install.I feel the tool is well designed and made.Even put in to a vise to hold tool and slide. Design allows the use of a vise.I may amend this review after my gunsmiths input.
