Works exactly like you would think
It works exactly like it should. It's a heavy duty material just like inflatable camping mattresses, but I'm sure it could still be punctured if you're not careful. It's quick and easy to blow up and then you can just deflate it easily and stick in your bag. I have short legs so sitting on any average height seat for long periods of time cuts off my circulation as the seat edge digs into the back of my thigh. This allows you to inflate it as much or as little as you want to just give your legs a break and raise them comfortably off the front edge of a chair/airplane seat.

Automotive between the seats
I did not purchase this for air travel. I bought it to fill the middle space between two rear captain seats for my dog. I have a hammock type cover but I could not easily fill the space between the seats with any aftermarket automotive products. This inflatable foot rest worked, making it more like a bench seat. I only need to inflate the double bladder to bring it up to almost level and for a year it has not lost any air. It is worth mentioning that my dog is a rowdy 20 pounds and always seems to have little dagger claws.

Great BUT can’t recommend anymore
Do not recommend. Love it BUT don’t think I’ll be able to use anymore. This made a big different in my ability to sleep a long redeye last year. But I tried to use it on a recent redeye and was told that while you used to be able to keep small items at your feet while at cruising altitude (stowed at takeoff and landing) in bulkheads and exit rows, they no longer allow it because of the increase in turbulence due to climate change. They don’t want items flying around hitting anyone.Four starts for doing what it promises, one star off because it’s a little slippery with the sleeve on.

Great for occasional use!
Bought as a leg rest (not a footrest) to use at my daughter's house when I am there. It's a good height to elevate my legs to help with swelling. It blows up easily and so far, no leaking. I chose the grey color which makes it look OK with just about any furniture and carpet. It's a bit of a hassle to get it positioned where you want, because the flocked surface resists sliding and there is no handle or edge to grab. I might jury-rig a duct tape strap! Also, it does not provide a completely stable support, being a bit squishy and slightly rounded -- but I think this might actually be a good thing because even a little fidgeting is good for the circulation. I love that I don't have to carry or shove a heavy ottoman around to whatever chair I want to sit in, and this can easily be put in a corner or deflated when it's only used occasionally. Great idea!

Value for money
It’s good for my car when I sit inside!

Not sturdy at all
Tried to use this as a seat extender to help our 3yo sleep on a red eye flight. We were in the bulkhead row, so the footrest was free-standing. It was so unsteady, it kept falling over while she was trying to rest her lower body on it, waking her up (and dumping her on the floor). I tried to use it to rest my legs and also found it very unsteady.

I have a small USB powered pump that inflated this footrest fast!
I would highly recommend getting one of these small air pumps...makes it so much easier so that you can get to relaxing faster, too! I tried this with one, then two and then all three blown up together and like the fact that it can accommodate the "level" of comfort you need at any given time. I actually got this to use in my house. I have a recliner with a foot rest section, but right now I have a little, very old dog that is blind and deaf and kind of decrepit. She's 17 years old and walks hunched over like a little old lady. And because she is blind and deaf, if I put my foot rest up, she will inevitably end up walking into the underside of my chair. Not good. She also has a habit of stopping and just sitting for a time when she bumps into something. So...I blew up the entire footrest and have been using it instead of my recliner footrest. My little old furgirl can bump into this footrest and not get caught under the chair. It's comfortable for me and is easy to deflate at the end of the night as well.

Does not hold air, keeps deflating
Foot rest does not hold air. It keeps deflating during my 15 hour flight making my trip uncomfortable. The foot rest is bulky and unstable , my foot keeps wobbling around. It’s like putting my foot on a balloon, very wobbly
