Q: Can these be connected to a 12v car stereo system fitted to my caravan ?

They are designed for outdoor use including on boats so yes they would be suitable. I use mine in the garden , excellent sound.

Q: can i plug in my phone to it?

No. These are conventional speakers with screw poles for speaker cable. Don’t buy them. They rust terribly within weeks and sound tinny. They are not for outdoors despite the name. If you want great outdoor speakers, choose from the Yamaha range. I bought these after throwing the above ones away in disgust. The Yamaha speakers sound fantastic and have now withstood the outdoors in all weathers and seasons for almost 3 years.
