it fits and was cheaper then buying it from the store that installed my radio.
So when i looked up how to install a radio in the Prius I was like dang I have to dissemble like the whole front half of the interior. So I was going to pay to have someone put it in. So I can't say as to how easy it was to install the thing. but I can say that I did save a bunch of money on the install with bringing in my own mounting hardware. and I've had no problems with the radio not staying in place and it is where the oem radio was so I think giving this thing high marks is warranted. it does it job well and is cheaper then what you'd get otherwise.

Fits and works perfectly. Comes with 68 ohm resistor!
Wanted to write this review just to confirm that the package does come with the small 68 ohm resistor to keep cooling fan control. Installed into 2007 Prius and fit without any issues. It did take some time to adjust the radio to the right depth using the provided mounting brackets, but otherwise would recommend.

Simple and easy adapter, annoying wires
This worked very well in my 2004 Prius, the worst part was disassembling the entire dash to change the stereo. The finish of the front trim piece is just okay, it feels a little cheap, but it fits well, if a little loose in the clips. My biggest frustration, and I suppose this is partly Toyota's fault, is the temperature sensor. Toyota decided to mount the sensor in the stereo, so when you replace it, you need to find a new solution. This kit comes with a tiny resistor which can serve as a replacement sensor, but it will be stuck behind your radio. The issue is how they want you to install it is very janky if not a bit dangerous. I made it work, but I wonder if I could have just ignored that step and been fine anyway.

Works very well at a great price, with one caveat
Even though it's just plastic, it seems sturdy enough for the job. And plastic helps modern head-ends with their WiFi and Bluetooth get their signal out The caveat: Metra helpfully includes a 68ohm resistor, with instructions for bodge wiring it into the back of the factory harness. This would be better served by pigtails on a proper connector. But that isn't the issue. The issue is that 68ohms doesn't work, or at least it did not for me. After putting everything together and seeing the dreaded "check connection" on the MFD Climate screen, I measured the resistor. It was dead on 68.0 ohm. But it did not work. The internet is full of this "68 ohm" recommendation. Where did it come from? I do not know. It is also full of people saying it doesn't work. What worked for me: I guessed that, since IEBus termination is 120ohm, maybe something close to 120 in parallel [60 ohm] might work better. Maybe y'all just got lucky with 68 and tolerance? I added a 330ohm resistor (ie something i had) to get a parallel 56ohm result And that worked just great

Thanks for nothing!
Got this kit Saturday afternoon and started disassembling my dash to get everything installed. When I opened the bracket bag there were 2 right plates in my kit. Makes it really hard to finish my install. Now my dash is apart and I don't have what I need to put it together. Awesome. Thanks Metra. Maybe I can drive an hour to Charlottesville to the Crutchfield store to get another one. Hopefully it has 2 lefts.

Fits nicely
After several months of having my head unit installed ( by myself. Not an expert) I can say that so far it has hold pretty good. I like the finish and shape. At first, I found the plastic to be flimsy but it proved to be strong enough to be installed without any issues and to hold the unit safely. Fitting is good also. Overall pretty satisfied.
