I baby my trees so that I can enjoy the leaves
If you have never read up on the Moringa, it would be worth your while to find out about these versatile trees. Everything, including the roots are edible. I use the leaves in salads, the bark can be used for breads, however, I baby my trees so that I can enjoy the leaves. These trees originate from India, but have been sent to areas where people are starving. Suddenly their health has improved, and has helped total villages to come back to health. I got 100 seeds, and thus far have planted only 25. All have sprouted, and I want to make a couple bonsai trees for the house, the rest I am putting in pots so that I can protect them when the weather turns cold.. I LOVE them!!

I thought the first ones weren’t good so I planted more in the same pots
I bought these in February and planted them right away. 3 weeks later nothing.. so I decided to remove part of the coating and place them in wet paper towel in a plastic bag. Success!! They have a really hard covering over the seeds. I thought the first ones weren’t good so I planted more in the same pots. Now they are all up lol the first ones and the second ones! They grow really fast after they pop up. Good experience with this seller!!Update, the germination rate is very high on the seeds I bought from this seller! This is a photo of just one of the little trees. After they pop up they grow very fast!! This one is about 3 weeks old & is almost a ft high

Paper Towel Method
I received the Moringa Seeds as described. After reading reviews (and I am no expert, just in the learning process) I decided to start out experimenting with the paper towel method of germination. On 6/22/16 I took 8 seeds and placed on a half of a wet paper towel. I folded the other half of wet paper towel over on top of the seeds and then set in a ziplock bag. I did not seal the bag all the way across but left maybe an inch of the bag open. Then I put the ziplock bag in a cardboard box and put in my sun room away from the windows. After 4 days I decided to see how they were doing. Every one of these 8 seeds has germinated. If you do this don't wait to long to plant because the roots start to grow into the paper towel. I will attach a photo. You can't tell on a few of these in the picture but they have a little tiny spout on the underside of the seed. I am very happy with my purchase and would buy from this company again.

Moringa here I come.
As a beginner to germinating seeds I tried 2 different methods. Firstly, after looking through Youtube videos I soaked them overnight in regular tap water (on second thoughts I will probably use filtered water from now on to reduce chlorine stress) then carefully peeled off the brown seed covering (aril) using my fingernails.Method 1. Bought my Jiffy germinating green house filled with peat moss pellets from Walmart for $10.00, put an old heating pad underneath and.set it to low, hydrated the moss pellets and inserted a single seed in 6 of the pellets. Put the dome on the tray, covered the tray with a towel to remove light and set it on top of the refrigerator.Method 2. Took a paper towel, wet it, inserted seeds, put them in a 1 quart zip lock bag, sealed the bag and put them on top of the Jiffy tray. Results: 3 days later, I have one seed showing signs of germination in the Jiffy Tray (Which needs to be sprayed with water every 2 days) and a 90% germination rate from the paper towels.Needless to say, paper towels wins the race. Will be transplanting them to a container tray in the next few days and placing it in a North facing window until they are ready to be transplanted outside.Lesson to be learned, cheapness is not necessarily bad. I would have given them 4 1/2 Stars but could not figure out how to do so. My only complaint is that there are no instructions for germination. Thank God for Youtube.Would definitely buy from them again.

Great Price for an amazing tree
Great price for moringa seeds. I prepped my seeds by soaking them in room temperature water for 5 hours or so followed by removing the leaves from the seed shell. I then placed a dampened paper towel into a temper ware sandwich box with a lid and placed it in the window. I checked every other day or so and 2 of the seeds started growing mold so I wiped it off while the other two proceeded to sprout. After they sprouted, I placed them in a seed starting mixture inside a pot and have kept it damp. I have also read that you can sprout moringa by gently removing the hard brown shell being very careful not to damage the white part on the inside. I have tried this with the remaining two in the hopes that they are not already gone for good. However, even if they don't, I still have 96 other seeds to try. I only tested 4 but that assures you that you can have at least 50 seeds germinate. This is my first time, however, sprouting seeds so I think it went fairly well and these seeds are an amazing price considering this tree is a miracle plant.

Poor germination . I wasted a ton of time and energy. Look for PKM1 seeds.
I ordered these after having dismal results with Moringa seeds from Chris’ Garden. These weren’t much better. These sprouted 12 seeds over multiple attempts. (I tried sprouting, direct planting, planting in worm castings) I found out that all of the seeds I had purchased were NOT the PKM1 variety (supposed to be the best variety of Moringa). So I ordered 1,000 PKM1 seeds from Alfabel Natural Solutions. Now it was November and too late to plant outside but I thought I’d get a jump on things and plant some indoors and transplant in the spring. To my surprise, out of the 30+ seeds I put in the ziplock bag, all but 2 sprouted. It was like night and day, from almost all seeds not sprouting to nearly all seeds sprouting. Wish I had purchased from Afabel the first time. I’d have some pretty big trees by now if I had!
