This product fit a very old (30+ years) aluminum threshold perfectly. It was an easy install, considering the age and corrosion associated with the old threshold. Would recommend.

Sooo, I went down to the local big box store to get a replacement threshold insert. They had one size, so I thought one size fits all. Nope, they do not. A picture of my old one compared to this on helped me know this was it. It took five minutes to install after prep. It appears to be a great product and fits perfectly. A few thoughts ... Preparation is everything. Clean the metal plate completely. I used a very slim screwdriver to get any gunk out of the tracks this product fits in. They need to be cleaned out. (I followed up with a box cutter.) Then the new strip will fit in as it should. Measure the width you need before you buy. They offer several widths. Write the product company name and item number on the bottom of the rubber strip with a permanent marker. It will help next time.

Original was flexible and thinner material. This product looks and fits exact! Which is great, because these are hard to find for older threshholds!! But, They make em' way too good! Hardly any flex. The door will not close. Not even close to it! Stops the door like a brick! It is exactly the same size, as my old one which is all worn out, and has been in use since new, 30 years ago. This new model's flexible "tube top" part is made of stiff, thick vinyl, which will hardly deshape, and scrunch down, even if I heat it with blow drier, and stomp on it with over 200 lbs. So, its a futile disapointment for me!

I looked high and low for this piece in all my local stores and searching online, but never finding exactly what I needed. I don't remember how I stumbled across this one, but I'm so glad I did. A perfect match for what was needed. Installation was a breeze. Measure, cut, slide it in. Done. Front door back to being sealed. 5 stars.

Used this product to replace a damaged threshold for my customer Another contractor replaced the original Threshold with 2 36 inch thresholds, they were of different height and the left door did not seal properly. I ordered this thresholds vinyl replacement to replace the old vinyl in the old frame Vinyl was very tight to pull through, sprayed soap in the tracks while pulling. Overall perfect replacement for the old threshold. I would recommend this product.

Our home is 35 years old and the rubber sealing strip in the threshold of the door into our garage had disintegrated a few years ago. I couldn’t find a replacement seal at the usual places like Lowe’s and Home Depot so I added a sweep to the bottom of the door to save having to do the much bigger job of replacing the whole aluminum threshold. The sweep solution wasn’t really a great fit... didn’t look great and wasn’t a great draft free fit. I found this replacement threshold seal on Amazon, it arrived quickly and installed literally in 2 minutes. It fits perfectly and the door is now draft free. I had to remove the sweep I added onto the bottom of the door so that the door would close properly, but thats a bonus as aesthetically it looks much nicer. So far I’m very pleased and would highly recommend.

I searched for years for a replacement threshold insert and finally found this one. It fits perfectly, although it looks totally different from the original insert. It’s actually a much better product than the original. I would highly recommend this item.

Trivial to replace. They wear out after a few years of constant foot traffic, you replace them in a few minutes and everything is as good as new.

Wasn't sure if it would clip intp my existing aluminum threshold, but it did and locked in with a bit of pressure. Very pleased.
