Good quality compared to other solar covers I have had
Box was damaged resulting in a cut in the cover. I used tape to seal the tear and held for the summer. Good quality compared to other solar covers I have had.

MUCH BETTER THAN MY LAST 3 COVERS!!
I HAVE MOSTLY PURCHASED SOLAR COVERS FROM IN THE SWIM, LAST 3 YEARS THOSE COVERS COME WITH BUBBLES POPPING AND AWFUL JUST 6 WEEKS AFTER USE. THIS COVER IS HEAVIER, NO POPPED BUBBLES, BETTING I WILL MAKE ENTIRE SUMMER WITH NO ISSUES! WILL BUY AGAIN

Worked great, but deteriorated after just 1 summer...
The cover worked GREAT at keeping in the heat (we have a heated pool), but it started to literally crumble and break off after just one summer's use. We were able to still use it this summer, but every time we grabbed one of the corners (seemed to be one side only) to pull the cover over the pool (off the reel), chunks of the cover just tore off in my hands - it just crumbled. By the end of this summer, there were little blue plastic "bubbles" floating in the pool every time after rolling the cover off... I just contacted Midwest Canvas regarding the 2 yr full warranty, I'll update my review after I speak with them (I had to leave a message). TBC...

I like the silver backing on this one so far
This is the 4th or 5th solar I have purchased over the years. Most last 1 - 3 seasons for me, but I use it constantly from early sprint to closing in late fall.. I have trees and this helps with leaves. I highly suggest the 12 mil and blue. I like the silver backing on this one so far. It raised water temp of 18X38 pool from 54 to 62 first 24 hours with daytime temps only mid 60's. I generally get a 10 -maybe 15 degree increase depending on hours of sun and night temps. Imy experience leads me to buy the blue over the clear due to amount of tem increase and the clear show signs of mold, and dirt more. I have tried the 8 mil, 12 and 16. The 8 mil too thin, I think difficult to spread over pool even in slightest of breeze. The 16 is too heavy, difficult to fold and maneuver. This particular one may cost a little more, but the silver backing has proven effective so far. At this point, I will repurchase this exact cover again when needed.

Difficult to roll, stretched far faster than others, poor heat conduction.
I regularly replace my solar covers every 3 years (because budget or high-end, they all fall apart after 3 years). This is a "never again" product which surprised me because I once had a similar one that was black underneath that worked well.It doesn't seem to convey heat nearly as well as that one did, nor as well as the transparent ones. I realize, of course, it counts on conduction rather than the green house effect of the clear ones, but it should still work well. It does, however, insulate against night-time heat loss as well as any other. The biggest problems are I've never had a cover that was so difficult to roll onto the roller and it stretched. It always bunches up, is almost impossible to correct and even with two people will do it. No cover I've ever had was so difficult to roll. And, while they all stretch and get wider, it usually takes a full summer to start. This one got a foot or more wider in just a month! So it's now over 17' wide rather than 16'.

keeps heat in!
Holds heat in! Our pool now drops about 2 degrees each night, traditional cover it would drop 10 degrees each night. We heat the pool during the day and were constantly running the heater with old covers.

cheap product
put on to heat up the water. LOL well tried rolling it up on the reel roller and it fell apart. had to vacuum out the plastic pieces that fell off and the cover had holes in it where it completely fell apart. Waste of my money . Should not even get one star.
