They punch above their weight and come in very handy!
Incredible durability! You can easily tell that these pliers are forged and forged well. They certainly aren't cheap cast metal that will twist and fracture. These are solid and durable, capable of work far beyond what their size might suggest. The way they are engineered allows you to adjust them to the nut/bolt/pipe you are working on and then push using only the "top" handle. You don't need to squeeze hard to hold the grip, the design does that for you. Also, these pliers are lighter and slimmer than you might think. These are easily carried even in the 5th pocket of jeans. I carry them in a leather "front pocket organizer" along with a Swiss Army Knife and a small flashlight. They've come in handy many times, most recently when helping out someone with a dead car battery. They had no way to remove the dead battery to get it to the charger that was indoors. These pliers took care of that easily. I have not had any issues with rust on these even though they experience contact with water and sweat fairly often. I just try to wipe them off and maybe put some oil on them every so often to help prevent rust in the future. They did seem a bit expensive at first but I'm sure I'll never need to replace them since they are so durable and well-made.

Extremely easy to work with and blows away the other brands
I haven't used these an awful lot as they've been in a tool box that I have set up for taking to remote locations. I got in that habit several years ago when I had to do repairs to my parents' house after they passed but before we sold it. Anyway, after getting more and more frustrated with the pliers I do have -- everything from Channellock to Craftsman -- I got these to use when I need them. Boy, are they the ticket. Don't even buy the other brands, including Klein, unless you're need them for strictly electrical work.I can't speak to the durability of this tool -- you'll have to get that information elsewhere -- but they are far easier to use than the standard pair of pliers, including Channellock (which I have never understood the draw to; mine are borderline crap, but that's for another review). This morning I needed to tighten the faucet knobs on the washing machine water faucet due to getting a new washing machine. I initially couldn't do it by hand and the bigger pliers I first grabbed weren't working effectively. The only reason I didn't get these first is because I thought they were too small. Even if they were, they still worked, and they worked easily.I think the button push for the sizing is something to get used to, but I like it. In other tasks, it didn't slip when I set it, unlike other -- including supposedly high end -- pliers.Look, I get these cost a lot and that's why I've hesitated to get them. But it seems every time I invest in a quality tool, I'm glad I did. Between the lack of frustration to the (usual) durability, with tools, you almost always get what you pay for. I ordered the bigger size of these this morning to keep in my (regular) tool chest for adjustments I do on a (sometimes) weekly and all the time monthly basis. They'll be a welcome addition.

Major rust damage from factory -- Review Edited
These Knipex pliers arrived with major rust damage. They were still seemingly factory-sealed but it's as though they were packaged with some water or other corrosive substance. I will be exchanging these and if the new pliers come rust-free I will edit my review.Edit: I received my new pair of pliers and have changed the review to a solid 4 stars. They're very nice pliers -- mechanically-speaking. They're easy to adjust even with one hand and the mechanism isn't too hard. Hoping these don't rusty easy but only time will tell.Edit 2: After getting some more time with these pliers I'm updating my review again to give them 5 stars. These things are absolute beasts and can grab anything. The metal they're made of is extremely high quality and they do not lose any sharpness to their teeth no matter what you're grabbing.

Tiny but mighty!
Way smaller then you think, I mean like tiny small, if you have never seen a pair in real life, prepare yourself. My first thought after opening the box was, “oh, how cute, Barbie’s first pair of channel locks”. These little bastards have some grip! I’m a plumber, I had a favorite pair of short handled 7” channies that I inadvertently donated to a customer by forgetting them under his sink. I have been lost and adrift without them and I was looking for a replacement, most “small” channel locks still have pretty long handles, and that’s the problem. A small, short pair of channels let you get in on those supply lines under tight sinks or get a couple more turns on a toilet closet nut. Most things in plumbing are usually “slightly tighter then hand tight”, these little buggers make it a sinch. Bonus, they easily ride in a pocket with my flashlight, utility knife, and shapie. My only gripe, if it even qualifies as one, is I wish they would of put a small hole in the end of one handle for a lanyard. I’m sure at some point, I will be “donating” these guys as well. Plus everything is cooler with some tactical, para cord knots. You can keep all the expensive “multi tools” these do what all them don’t, work as a highly functional pair of pliers.

High-Quality Pliers with Great Grip and Control!
The KNIPEX Cobra Water Pump Pliers (8701250) are fantastic! The 10-inch size is perfect for getting a good grip on both smaller and medium-sized pipes. The adjustable jaw allows for quick and easy adjustments, which means you can use them for a variety of tasks. The grip is super comfortable, and the ergonomic design ensures that you don’t get tired after extended use.The build quality is solid—these pliers feel sturdy and durable, and the red handles not only look great but also provide a non-slip grip, even when your hands are a little sweaty. I’ve used them for everything from plumbing jobs to automotive repairs, and they’ve held up perfectly.Highly recommend these for anyone who needs a reliable, heavy-duty set of pliers for everyday tasks!
