I purchased the NYX Vivid Rich Mechanical Eye Pencil because it’s the only eyeliner my 14-year-old daughter will wear, and now I understand why. She loves that it’s mechanical (no sharpening needed), which makes it quick and easy to use — especially on busy school mornings. The color payoff is just right: noticeable but not overpowering, so it gives definition without looking too heavy or dramatic. It goes on smoothly, doesn’t tug, and stays put all day without smudging or fading. If you’re looking for a reliable, easy eyeliner that’s great for a natural everyday look — especially for teens or anyone who prefers a softer style — this one is a winner. We’ll definitely be buying it again!

I love Nyx eyeliner and they are some of the best options regardless of price. I love doing green eyeshadow and I love using a pop of color on the lower waterline to compliment the eyeshadow. This is a super creamy darker green color that looks amazing with brown eyes. I find it glides on super creamy and with no tugging, but is waterproof all day long with no smudging or budging. This does not need a sharpener, so you can just twist to make the point come up. I find that very easy for travel or on the go so you don't need another item. I've had no issue with the component breaking or the eyeliner itself breaking off either. Colors are all great and saturated and work for any look you want to do.

Edit: bought 3 times. 2nd time lacked pigment, but they sent me a free replacement and it was good. I got the NYX Mechnical Eyeliner in the onyx (black) shade. It is absolutely stunning! It is definitely washable, not waterproof. This is what I was seeking as I do not like using makeup remover and prefer for all my makeup to wash away in the shower with a gentle facial cleanser. I find that makeup removers can be harsh on skin and can tear some eyelashes out. The NYX eyeliner can smudge throughout the day, but it takes a LOT to smudge. I took two naps, had wind blown in my face, and planted a tree and it remained perfect on my oily eyeliner with no primer. It did not last as long on my waterline, but that's to be expected, probably a few hours max. I haven't worn eyeliner in years now but I remembered recently that I really enjoyed applying it back in the day. I was shocked how easy it was to apply. I remember I used to use a product called Rimmel Scandal Eyes and this NYX eyeliner is incredible comparatively. It is so pigmented yet more smudge resistant. It glides on smoothly and is easy to shape. It is firm and does not seem like it will break. I am very satisfied with this product and highly recommend to anyone looking for a very pigmented pencil eyeliner that is washable yet smudge resistant! Great price as well.

These go on very nicely. They glide on without tugging:) They also stay “put” for at least 6-8 hrs. A good price. I would definitely recommend.

If you’ve ever tried to sharpen a makeup pencil only to end up destroying the tip and your patience, you’ll appreciate a mechanical one like this. The pencil glides on smoothly without dragging the skin. Color payoff is solid; noticeable but still easy to control. The twist-up design is the real hero here. No sharpeners, no broken tips, no mess. Compact enough to toss into a makeup bag without taking up much space. The formula holds up well through the day with minimal smudging. The only minor downside is that the tip can wear down fairly quickly if you press too hard. Overall though, it’s a very practical everyday makeup pencil.

Amazing pencil! The brown color is rich and can be used as an eye liner as well as kajal. It stays on for a long time but can be smudged for a smokey eye. Overall great product for the price. NYX hardly disappoints with their products and I will be definitely trying more colors.

I love this eyeliner, it is finally a true brown not a brown that looks more of a red than brown so thank you. The eyeliner goes on very smoothly. It does not seem to smudge very easily which is awesome and I had to use makeup remover to remove it so it stays on pretty well. Got an excellent rating on the Yuka app so no really bad ingredients, thank you for that as well! Will continue to buy. Wish there was a lip liner and lipstick this color. Only drawback is the mechanical twist seems to not be durable and I’m afraid it is going to break or I won’t be able to retract the eyeliner.

Really excellent eye pencil which is soft so no need to drag. Well pigmented giving strong colour that can easily be blended.
