I can’t even remember how I started taking this Protease, but I have to take it every day or I begin to have stomach issues like Pain, gas, rumbling.. it’s really good stuff. I’ve been on it for years on and off but on the off times, things get bad again so I stay on it now! One a day on empty stomach in AM. I’ve read it’s supposed to be good for many issues other than just digestion.I really have a hard time believing Amazon’s low number of positive reviews. Maybe they would rather push other supplements. It’s one of the few things I think everyone should take.

Perfect for meat/protein digestion. I've been using it for years and is my go to when things don't sit right in my stomach.

It seemed to do the job.

These supplements help tremendously for protein digestion problems. With an HUT (Hemoglobin Unit Tyrosine base) of 355,000 this is quite the powerful digestion aid, much stronger than most enzyme supplements out there. For example, an off-the-shelf $15-$20 enzyme blend contains about 20,000 HUT of protease, so almost 18 times less! The best multi-enzyme blend I have found so far (Omega-Zyme Ultra by Graden of Life; about $60 on Amazon) has 80,000 HUT. So still 4.5 times more.So if you have protein digestion problems, I highly recommend this product.

After the first dose on an empty stomach, I felt better with more energy & a lesser feeling of “brain fog.” I felt encouraged, hoping for an opportunity for multiple health benefits. However, two significant physical problems later developed that could not be a mere coincidence. Firstly, my decision to purposely take the product on an “empty stomach,” caused annoying stomach cramping that could be easily avoided, if my intentions had been to take it “with food.” Secondly, and more importantly, the supplement caused a serious rise in my BP readings requiring additional BP medication. I temporarily stopped taking the product for 4-7 days at a time & gave the Protease product 2 more additional opportunities for toleration, without adversely affecting my BP (as it was causing a quite serious elevation in the readings.) With daily dosing, my BP readings would rise dramatically on both the SBP readings & the DBP readings. Prior to starting the enzyme, my DBP reading ranged from 70-90. Following the resumption of the supplement on 2 additional occasions, the DBP range increase was 95-108. For unknown reasons, I simply can’t tolerate this product. At the same time, the product did not adversely effect my elderly mother’s BP readings. We have both abandoned the product altogether. Unfortunately.

This product is amazing. It helps get ride of gas and bloating for people who have problems with digesting Oats and many other hard to digest proteins in grains. I am buying my 2nd bottle today..11/9/2013- buying my 3rd bottle, I take one with each meal... it's also effective for my gluten sensitivity but i need to take more than 1 for gluten. It also reduces my allergies which makes sense because alot of my allergies are because I could not digest grains well.

Gave me terrible acid reflux and stomach upset each time I took it. If you have occasional acid reflux issues, this will make it so much worse. No return allowed.
