Not exactly what I expected, but it would worked for what I was using it for
I expected a powder, but instead it is more like a bath salt type look to it...

really good
came highly recommended . It dirties up the tub a bit but is easily wiped away. Really natural. Feels very good.

Messy
I've used the shampoos and conditioners from this company and loved them, so I thought I'd give the bath powder a try. I can't say much for it. The powder refused to dissolve and created the mother of all rings in the tub, and made my skin look like I'd been rolling in, well, muddy seaweed. The skin on my body does feel softer, so that is nice, but I splashed some on my face and it created a lot of irritation - my cheeks are bright red and burning now. (I have rosacea - I'd hoped the seaweed bath would be soothing!) If your skin is less sensitive, you hopefully won't have the same facial irritation, but you'll be scrubbing the tub everytime you use this product. I'd stick with applying body oil or lotion after a hot bath - you'll get the same effect, but much less mess!

Can't you smell that smell?!
This stuff smells AWFUL.I poured some in while the water was maybe 1/6 full in the tub, got in, sat for a minute...something smelled FUNKY. I figured my boyfriend had fed our cats and the smell was drafting into the bathroom...so I poured the rest in. The smell, becoming ridiculously overwhelming, prompted me to ask my boyfriend if he had fed our cats because it smelled like the strongest fishy- beach smell (almost like red tide...)...he said he hadn't.I poured some of the tub water (that was a gross murky brown) onto my shoulder and gave my skin a sniff...IT WAS THE WATER THAT SMELLED LIKE FISH. UGH. AND I WAS SITTING IN IT.I asked for a second opinion to make sure I wasn't crazy, and my boyfriend assured me by just walking into the doorway of the bathroom that the fishy smell was indeed coming from the bathtub. I couldn't believe someone would sell a product that left you smelling like a sea of dead fish. I immediately drained the tub when it was a little over halfway full and proceeded to wash myself off with things that didn't leave me smelling extremely unappealing (even to myself, ew).My advice? Don't use these unless you want to smell terrible. Maybe gift one to someone you aren't fond of and pretend you didn't know it was terrible. That's about the only use I could think of.

Smelly Bath
Fortunately, I didn't purchase a bottle of this powder, I only purchased a few packets from another vendor. This is the worst smelling bath powder - like dead fish! It smelled so bad (and looked like dirt in the bath) that I had to drain the water from the bath and rinse it out (it left a ring around the tub that I had to scrub off!) and then immediately get into the shower to rinse off. The smell stayed with me for a few hours afterwards. I honestly do not know why anyone would want to bathe in this disgusting powder! I would not buy this again. There is nothing soothing about a smelly bath!

Feels good; looks awful in the water
Feels good; looks awful in the water. Better to put the granules in your hand and rub them together to help dissolve them. I do have a warning though. It does leave a motheroo tub ring after you are through. A reviewer or two said the ring was easy to wipe off. It was not for me. I wound up having to use an abrasive scouring powder to get it off. I certainly had a nice clean tub after my soak and my skin felt great. However, I will not be using it again. It is just too difficult a product to use. I wanted to like it too!!!!

Worth the Mess
I agree with the comments about the mess. I wasn't sure what to expect when I got this, but I had read it was great for soothing achy muscles, so this was my reason for buying it.When I first sprinkled the scoops in the bath it immediately began to look like a pond (very daunting!) but the smell wasn't as bad as I expected. It's a lovely lavender when you first open the container and when you add water it only has a hint of the seaweed, not too strong. You can easily light scented candles to mask the scent.I highly advise that you exfoliate in the shower before soaking in this seaweed. I didn't do this and had a few patches on my skin which I had to scrub off. A shower afterwards is ideal.Yes, the seaweed left a mess in the tub but it wasn't difficult to clean. I wouldn't use it in a jacuzzi tub as it'll get into the jets and you'll never get it clean.Overall, this product was so worth it. My skin felt amazing, the dry winter skin on my hands cleared up instantly and my skin is silky soft from head to toe. The seaweed scent does not linger on the skin either, so you don't have to fear smelling of a fisherman, lol. I would put up with the mess again because of the results! It is now the day after using it and my skin is still soft. I plan on buying the seaweed hand cream because seaweed just works for skin! It's a great secret. Also, my achy muscles improved immediately with very little pain left. Would definitely recommend this!
