Retaine PM 5g Tube by Retaine

This was recommended to me by my eye specialist. The pros: It was not as thick as some ointment, therefore didn’t gum up in my eyes. It performed much better than some of the other night eye ointments I’ve used to the past. The con: It is a little pricey.

This product helps my dry eye problem, it is very affordable and it truly soothes my eye.

I got uveitis (basically eyeball arthritis) a few months ago and had to begin using Retaine products. I use this eye ointment daily. I hate it. It's so gross, leaks out of my eyes as it melts, and gives me major sensory issues on my eyelids BUT it does it's job and keeps my eyes happy, so I will continue to use it. I have to take a shower every morning with hot water to complete the "melt it out of my eyes" process.So, five stars. Would not use a different eye goo, but I absolutely hate using eye goo in the first place. I dream of the day I no longer have to use this product.

Cheaper here than at the Doctor’s office. Basically Vaseline or mineral oil. Designed to combat dry eye symptoms especially at night.

Nice and bit messy

This is the one recommended by my ophthalmologist. It does an excellent job of moisturizing my eyes over night while I am sleeping. I wake up with much less "gritty eye" feeling with this product.

Use it only at bed time as it’s thick & hard to see thru
