I love this jacket. I was looking for something lightweight but warm, and this is that. I took it for a short walk along a creek, at 30 degrees Fahrenheit, and the only shirt I wore underneath was a paper-thin "base layer" shirt. This jacket was perfectly warm - perfect comfort with no hint of overheating or sweating. I was warm on my walk, not hot, just right. In even colder weather, I could easily wear a hoodie underneath, too.I also love this jacket because it has drawstrings at the waist to close it off against a breeze, which I did. It also has elastic and adjustable cuffs for the same purpose.I'd give it ten stars if there were ten to give - VERY happy with this jacket!

Beyond Happy!!

I chose this Columbia jacket because of its design. In general, it has large baffles that give it a more classic and robust appearance. Inside, it has a heat-insulating synthetic material. It comes well padded in its pockets. I like that. But in general it is a versatile jacket that provides good insulation against cold weather (for colder climates I suppose you will have to wear more than one layer) The inconvenience that immediately caught my attention was the fact that the sizes are not correct .............Well, I usually wear size XL in jackets (you can confirm it in the pic's of my review) and I ordered this jacket in size L and I realized that the fit is more relaxed because it is larger than expected, this is something that you will have to consider in your next purchase, order a size smaller than usual so that you will not be disappointed. Information that could help: I am 6 feet (180 cm) tall and weigh approximately 185 pounds (84 kilos). I recommend it if you like jackets with a classic look by the way I bought it for $89.99 bucks so it was a good buy.

It is a great jacket for extreme cold. I returned it because it was too thick and bulky to use much in Seattle. But if you live in extreme cold, this is the jacket for you.

Perfect for intended purpose, very warm, fits perfectly well for my size, excellent workmanship and worth the price.

It is light & good warm

This jacket is great. The inner lining really helps retain heat! When I first put it on, I didn't fully zip it up and immediately noticed the heat emitting from my body. This jacket is super lightweight, and great on the trail. I used it this weekend at a local hike, and it was so warm I had to take it off for a bit to cool off!

I bought this jacket as a mid-layer for winter hiking up north in Canada. I find it too large for my outer shell. It is big and puffy to pack VS smaller size that I saw with omni heat technology.For now, I only took it outside at -5 celsius and it does the job. I suspect it to be good to -15 celsius, below that I don't think it will be enough. The outer material doesn't seem to be water resistant enough to wear it under snowfalls or under the rain.Besides that, the inner omni-heat is a great technology for now. I find it really convenient to warm fast. as soon as you put it on almost. Within 2 min you are comfortable. I am curious to see how it will do on colder hikes VS duvet vests that used before.
