M-Tac Fleece Watch Cap - Tactical Beanie Hat Winter Skull Cap with Slimtex

This is an impressive cap for it's size and weight. 1.5 OZ for a SMALLWill be used for ultralight hiking. The band around the head is thick (3/8") and has insulation between the outer and inner layers. Feels toasty warm. The head is single layer which should be perfect to avoid overheating while on the move. It is very soft; nice quality fleece and great construction. Definitely expect it to last. The small is just enough coverage: down to the bottom of ear, but only just. I measured 21.5 inches around my head. I do feel like I want another 1/2 inch of material at the neck and ears when it is covering my eyebrows, but I ordered a small; you could order bigger to cover your ears. Great product, I would order again, maybe try the next size up.

Light weight, warm, fits great.

I love the feel and warmth. Ordered a Large because that's what I usually wear in a hat/cap (am keeping it--it's not bad) . It's a little bit small; causes the bottom part of my ear to be exposed.

I got a fat head and long hair. This cap fits perfectly and will keep me warm this winter.

1 YEAR ALASKAN UPDATE: Pushed to 5 starsI live and work in Alaska. I work outside much of the time. I bought this hat Dec 18 2017, it is not Dec 10 2018. This hat was by far my favorite. It was super warm without being overly bulky. I washed it a few times by sending it through the washer machine with my other cloths. I dried it in the normal drying machine with my cloths. It held up fine and it didn't seem to effect how warm it kept me. I lost it a few days ago and can't stand not having it. I ordered two more. I ordered the same one as before the 260 Slimtex as well as two others. The Fleece 380 to try for those times were I am standing out in the snow in sub zero temperatures for long periods of time. I also ordered the Fleece 260 as I assume it is the thinnest they have which I am hoping will fit under my helmet without having to adjust the suspension system.Fit well. Warm. Decent Quality.

I have purchased four very similar hats from the other Ukrainian company that you will easily find on Amazon. I liked those very much, but have carelessly lost two of them. I still have the black and coyote colors. I set out to buy a navy blue version from that supplier, but the example on their post looked almost black. I decided to try this supplier (M-Tac) because their posted navy blue had looked lighter in color. I have a very big head and my past buys have been very comfortable at size XL. The M-Tac received is seemingly of very similar material, quality and warmth. BUT, the XL is so tight on my head that I get dizzy. It is labeled XL, so it was not shipped in error, maybe labeled in error. Also its navy blue color is pretty close to black, not like the example color posted (though all graphics are sketchy on monitors). What saves this situation is that my wife wants to wear it, and it fits her well. Otherwise, I would have returned the hat for a refund (XL being their biggest size). Going back to that "two-edged" supplier, I guess.

If you don't have thick hair and or bald then this hate works perfect. I don't like loose and baggy watch caps. It fits very tight and is nice and warm. It's so tight and warm that it is easy to sweat in. Which is not a huge issue. Sometimes I simply remove it for a few while outside as needed.

Warm, soft and comfortable, M-TAC hit a homerun with these. They can be bought in different weights of fleece and with for without extra insulation inside. They fit nice and snug too and can be worn under other head coverings or hoods very easily. I have several of these now and even my 10year old daughter likes them! Definitely worth checking out and will keep your dome warm on the coldest of days.
