Gives New Life to an Old Set of Headphones
I think this product is a good option for those of you who, like me, do not want to give up the ghost on the QC25 because they sound amazing despite not being cordless. I have gone through several cables on the headphones because, well, life happens (e.g., errant chair rollover, dropping the device they are plugged into, kinking the cord by wrapping it too tightly, etc.). Yes, Bose was smart and designed the cable to be replaceable (although not cheap--14-30 bucks depending on the seller and whether it's official or not) but it doesn't take much time on the old interwebs to find the many issues people have from plugging and unplugging their cable too many times. In walks Tranesca, who makes this tiny little device that will cure what ails you. I put the device through a full charge cycle and a full use cycle before reviewing so I could comment on design, ease of use, and practicality.DESIGNFirst and foremost, this little gizmo fits my QC25 like a glove. I pointed my device out to my lady friend and she said she would not have guessed anything was on the headphones unless I told her it was there. That is good news for anyone worried that the device will make your already fairly large headphones look any goofier in public. Whereas my cable often needs to be shoved into the socket like I am trying to puncture someone’s breastplate with a syringe (time to go watch Pulp Fiction again), the Tranesca Bluetooth Adapter Receiver (TBAR) fits snugly with a tiny push. This makes me feel much better about the longevity of my cable socket (if that little doohickey goes, your QC25 just becomes the most expensive set of earmuffs ever). The fact that Tranesca leaves a little reminder on a card in the box to push firmly means they are well aware of the cable issue, and better yet, actually designed the TBAR for an actual consumer who uses the QC25; this seems like a “duh” but I have no idea how some products get to the market.EASE OF USEI think a nice parameter to use for talking about usability with electronics is to find the oldest person in your househould and then throw (hopefully nonviolently) whatever new device you have at them to figure out. If a 20 minute fiddling session ends with “I just don’t get this thing” then you are in helping-Grandma-with-the-computer territory and the device will have a learning curve. On the other hand, if the device is designed well and is plug and play, like the TBAR is, Grandma will be bopping to her moldy oldies in no time. Beyond knowing how to connect Bluetooth devices (a task that becomes increasingly easier and more streamlined over time) to your phone/computer/misc. device, use of the TBAR is simple. Tranesca includes an easy to use guide but I instinctively knew that a one press hold is volume and a two short press was a skip because just about everything that uses BT functions like that. The TBAR plug-ins easily, connects easily, and does what I need it to do easily.PRACTICALITYWith design and ease of use getting high marks, practicality is high as well. The range works as advertised (I got about 50 ft down a long hallway without issues) and the headphones still sound fantastic (although everyone should realize that Bluetooth compresses audio a bit). The only bit that didn’t quite reach the “as advertised” pinnacle was the battery life. The description claims “Up to 15 hours music/telephone time (separately)” but I received six hours of time with music at about 60% volume on the headphones (I like music to physically thump my ears so you may get more time out of your volume); I am not sure if the odd “separately” (this could be clearer Tranesca) means the 15 hours is a mix of phone and music use (with music obviously draining the battery more) but a full six hours is what I received running the headphones for three hours without the NC ability of the QC25 and three hours with the NC on. I will play around with it more and update the review once I have the product for longer but the battery life is the only element that was a little shorter than expected.OVERALLDefinitely worth the purchase (did I mention that the TBAR is around the same price of an official, new Bose cable that you will inevitably break?). It’s smartly designed, easy to use, and will give you cordless jamming on your QC25 for longer than anyone should really be wearing headphones for. If you are like me and bought the QC25 specifically for airplane travel, the TBAR will accommodate most flights. You may need to plug it in on those long international flights but Tranesca again has made a smart design move by allowing the device to be used while charging. Yes, you are getting the TBAR to not have a cord, but I simply plugged the USB end into the laptop I was working on and the cord is long enough to still comfortably work (also fully charged itself in 90 minutes instead of the two hours indicated in the instruction booklet). By the time I was done working on my laptop, the TBAR was charged again and I took the headphones for a walk outside without the painful worry of a cable somehow being ruined by Murphy’s Law. Solid, recommended purchase. 9/10 would buy again.

Great Product, Great Price, Great Purchase
I got a new set of wired headphones for the holiday. I do not think I would mind the wire when just sitting around but I was interested in using the headphones for more than just being tied to my phone or whatever device I needed to be plugged into to listen. I search around and after a couple weeks decided on the Tranesca Compatible Bluetooth adapter. The shipping time was very quick and it was packaged very well for an electronic device. I immediately took it out and plugged it into the headphones. The directions that came with the Tranesca Compatible Bluetooth adapter were very simple to understand on how to install and operate the device. I used it for about an hour without any problem. I then charged it for the first time. I probably took the whole 2 hours to fully charge but that seemed normal since I did not charge it when I opened it up I just used it with the charge it came with.I went back to it about two days later and this time I thought instead of plugging the cord in to the Bose I would use the adapter. This was great. I could walk around the house and go upstairs and the basement without carrying my phone. I was concerned about loosing the connection but no place in my house did I have any troubles. I even walked to the mailbox and had no issues. During no time of walking around did I have any sound quality issues. It sounded as good with the wired version as with the bluetooth. When spring comes around I hope to use it to mow the yard and other outside jobs and again not need to carry my phone. The headphones were bought mostly for travel flights but I can see using the Tranesca Compatible Bluetooth adapter will expand my reason for using the headphones even more. The Bose headset comes with a very nice case and the Tranesca Compatible Bluetooth adapter fits easily in the case with it still plugged into the Bose headset. This was good since when I travel I do not want to have to lug the headset case and another box with the Tranesca in it. You might worry about charging it but I found that the charging cable also fits into the Bose case with no problem thus allowing me to carrying everything I need in one case. The pricing of the Tranesca Compatible Bluetooth adapter was very competitive compared to others on the market. My wife also got the same headset so I will be proceeding to purchase a second Tranesca Compatible Bluetooth adapter in the near future for her. I wanted to wait until I tried the first one out before making the second purchase.I would recommend this to anyone who wants to cut the cord.....so to speak.

Great product.
Works great overall. Only wish I had gotten one sooner. I did receive a faulty unit initially but I emailed customer service and they immediately sent me a new one. I've seen similar posts about people getting bad ones but their customer service was great in getting me a new one.It will pair with more than one device but that gets tricky at times. I go back and forth between an iPhone and Samsung tablet. Sometimes on the tablet it won't pair but there was a work around someone else posted which worked- first pair it with iPhone, then while still paired turn off iPhone Bluetooth. That seems to trigger the Tranesca to find tablet again and it pairs.Control buttons are reasonable. Fits well on headphones. Fits easily in Bose case when still attached to headphones. Battery life so far reasonable. Good buy especially for the money.
