Mandalay International Caravan 5 Piece Iron Patio Dining Set in Black

The set is very sturdy and my wife likes the styling. Assembly was very easy. The chairs are not as comfortable as I expected but hopefully some thick cushions will solve that issue. The table out of the box did have some minor damage on it, but not enough to go through the considerable effort and expense to ship it back. The lattice metal surface of the table had some minor corrosion on it in a few places and was slightly dented in those same places. I think I can fix it using C-clamps to bend the metal back into shape and then touch up with spray paint. It is frustrating that I will have to go through that effort. There was no visible damage to the shipping cartons, so it must have happened at the factory.

This patio set, consisting of a 40" round table and 4 chairs, looks beautiful on my new bluestone patio. The design is beautiful- very ornate and "old world". It's very sturdy- the chairs are even heavy- and I can see this set lasting for as long as we will ever be able to use it. The workmanship is good in that it was very easy to assemble and the screw holes all lined up. (A problem I have read that others have had with other sets.) It would have received a 5 star review except for the discovery that the powder finish (as pretty as it is) doesn't prevent all the rust and there are several small spots we'll touch up with rust-proof paint. It's worth it. This is a very heavy, sturdy, well made set. Something that I think we will be able to hand down to our children!

It looks really nice, but the paint/enamel rusts very easily. I mean like daily, overnight before I treated it. It also appears to chip relatively easily exposing the metal underneath, it has a "shiny" metal underneath, not dark through-and-through making any dings a lot more noticeable. A good coating of clear rust proofing definitely helped with the rust, but I'm not sure how long it will last or if I'll need to continue to apply it periodically. It probably should come with a bit more "rust protection" standard. I would recommend rust-proofing it as soon as you've finished putting it together. Assembly was very easy, BTW. After rust-proofing I am "satisfied" with the product based the price and the appearance, it does look great.

The lower tabs to attach the back must be bent slightly. To do so, you can use a screwdriver: Stick it in the hole of the tab, for leverage.The only other reason for four rather than five stars is that the 39" diameter table looks too small for such large chairs.

The set arrived when promised & it was easy to assemble. There was minor damage on the tabletop but nothing that I can't live with. All in all, I will definitely purchase from this seller & I love the patio set!

Easy to assemble and good quality. There were a few minor rust issues but other than that I would recommend this product.

Very low quality. Table started rusting within a week of being placed outside. Weld spatter was everywhere and simply painted over. Chairs were delivered with scrapes and dents that have now rusted. Probably a good seller because no one can return it. You would have to be a magician to get everything disassembled and re- packaged in the cheap cardboard box it came in. I agree with an earlier review that the table is disproportionately small compared to the chairs. DO NOT BUY!

I really like this set. I originally ordered 3 for our outdoor patio at the office and have since ordered 4 more. They aren't really heavy metal so extreme wear and tear might be too much, put they are perfect for what we needed them for.
