Get professionally fitted
I bought 40W. I wear a size 7 street shoe (adult woman) and it fit pretty close but once broken in the shank twisted on my left foot, which is slightly smaller, I did NOT go up a size as some users suggested. I’m not sure I should have. I used the included silicone toe pad and two shredded cotton balls per box and it was well beyond expectation. I switched to NY CHQ wool. It is from sheep that are completely hand-raised, home-grown, organicly fed, hand-sheared (shorn??), hand-washed and hand-carded. I also use a toe spacer and occasionally a foam sleeve if I’m going to be dancing for quite a while. The ribbons are presewn and in the correct placement. I did later sew on Bloch stretch ribbons and Bloch elastics. Going to buy another pair just in case these become unavailable. They break in really fast. As an aside, I cannot wear Bloch or Russian Pointe as they hurt my toe. I now wear Suffolk Spotlight. As the wings were not high enough on these to properly support my foot. The color is more peach, like Suffolk Spotlight, not like Gaynor light pink.

Too small and need to be professionally fitted
If your looking for Pointe shoes I would not recommend getting them on amazon!!!! I know, you really want your point shoes, but I would definitely get them from a dance or shoe website. I got these and they were way too small!! You definitely need to get them fitted for your foot!! My shoes also didn't come with a return or "receipt" so I couldn't return them!! I hope this was helpful!!

Good shoes for a good price
We normally buy Capezio pointe shoes for my daughter's dance class. I decided to give these a try as shoes to work in over the summer, since she outgrows then so quickly. We've only had them for about 3 weeks, but so far we've been pleasantly surprised by them. The material is a little thinner and the box seems slightly less rigid, but she said the differences are minimal and don't have any effect on her ability to practice. They did run a little large for us. I ended up ordering a second pair a half size down.

You get what you pay for!
So these are absolutely MASSIVE (in terms of wideness). That is the most glaring issue; I was really worried when the package came that they would be too small/narrow actually, but BOY was I wrong. Surprisingly they actually do fit in terms of the shank length (aligns right with my heel; for reference I wear street shoe size 7, and ordered these in a 7 [evidently that is a 40W size]), but there is SO much excess fabric that hangs at both sides and hangs off in the back, both when I'm relaxing and when I go up to releve. Admittedly the silicone toe pads make a HUGE difference. They really help cushion my toes and are thick enough that they make the box aaaalmost fit. However, even with the padding (I use my cloth toe pads, the silicone ones, and a wad of lamb's wool in the box of each shoe), the box and profile (height) of the shoe are too big. This could be good for dancers that get expansion of the ball of their feet on pointe (mine stays pretty much the same though, so I sink down into the shoes). The material of the outside is nice (actual satin), and the shank of these shoes is surprisingly strong, but I can tell the inside soles are cheaply stitched (i.e. these shoes were NOT built to last long). I also have issue with the angling of the toe box; it's downward-sloped at the top, so it's hard for me to get all the way over the box (this is a personal issue; I have a shallow arch). I am an ex-dancer of 15 years that just restarted earlier this year after 7-8ish years off, and I only bought these shoes to practice/get the "feel" of pointe shoes again, so I think I will keep them anyway since the box and shank do have decent integrity. However, if you're planning to use these for actual classes/performances, I would strongly suggest you go get fitted for the real deal. These are just not going to do it for what a regular dancer is going to need.

Item arrived defective/used!!!
I was really excited to receive these pointe shoes, however that excitement quickly faded when I opened the box to discover that these point shoes had scuff marks all over them and had clearly been previously warn. The quality of the shoe itself is cheap and the ribbons are to short but my largest issue with these are that they arrived used. I put a lot of effort into researching pointe shoes on amazon prior to buying these, I am understandably deeply disappointed.

Solid set of pointe shoes
The shoes were just a tad large on me. The ribbons come attached. It also comes with really nice toe caps. It’s a very sturdy and solid set of pointe shoes.0
