This bowl fits great in my palm, and the ridge sits nicely against my ring finger to give a good grip. The texture inside the bowl seems to aid in frothing the cream. It looks awesome, it feels solid.

this bowl was too shallow to use for an enjoyable shave. the edges of the bowl do not curl up vertically enough to keep the cream contained while whipping. returned it.

Best lathering bowl ever if only you made one that is larger

I bought this for my husband, for our 9 year (pottery) anniversary. It was perfect for what I needed.

This ceramic shaving bowl is really nice looking (masculine looking) and doesn’t look cheap at all, and its functional. It isn’t real deep and that might be the only issue for some but I love the way it looks so much I’m till glad I bought it. I put a puck of soap in it and microwaved it on medium power just long enough to soften it up which allowed me to mold the puck down and out to the sides of the bowl so it is easier to use my brush. Worked perfect. Took me all of 30 seconds. Because it isn’t tall it also fits real well in a shallow drawer. These folks make a larger deeper product also if after what I have said you still don’t think this item will work for you. You can find that on Amazon as well.

Fits nice in the palm of my hand and the slight texture inside the bowl helps to build a nice creamy lather on my brush!
