Relic by Fossil Men's Leather Traveler Checkbook Wallet

This wallet is GREAT! the wallet looks well made and has a nice real leather smell. I read the reviews and decided to make the purchase. Comments were made concerning the placement of bills and actually, the dollar bills will fit either vertically or horizontally in the section provided (although it was mentioned they are slightly exposed when inserted vertically, true fact). The checkbook fit is very snug and the flap provided for duplicate writing is a great touch but it too is a tight fit. I placed the ledger vertically in the section where the dollar bills go and it is perfect there. There is a zippered compartment inside along the folding portion that is not mentioned in the product description and it is not necessary for me but its there and it allows access to the entire area inside of the wallet, I would say this conflicts slightly when folding the wallet after your possessions are moved in . The card slots are nice but a very tight fit and you have to remove the cards from the top to remove the cards placed lower. This I suspect will change with use. The short flap inside is perfect for putting receipts until you have a chance to document or file them. This is a mid sized wallet offered and it is like any wallet made meaning, the more you put inside, the fatter the wallet is and makes it harder to close flat. I purchased mine for my desk where I can pay bills and contain additional cards that I do not want to have with me all the time because I am not a consumer in that way and if you are then get 1 of the larger sized wallets offered. If you do not want a massive wallet in your pocket then DOWNSIZE your wallet possessions. If a guy is traveling, does he really need his checkbook? Most of our existence these days is electronic and, does anybody really write that many checks anymore? We all lead busy lives and this wallet for me is a great fit. I can grab it on the go to shop or travel with everything I need contained. It will NOT fit in my pants pocket but will fit nicely in the breast pocket of a coat or jacket or I can also drop it in my messenger bag if I am headed out for business.

I've always hated carrying a wallet in my back pocket. I had the same checkbook/wallet for over 50 years. After it was stolen last month the search began for a replacement. After 2 weeks of looking I was about ready to give up when I ran across the Fossil Relic checkbook/wallet. As soon as I opened the tin box it came in I knew I had for a good replacement for the one I have had for so many years. Not sure if this one will last another 50 years but I doubt if I will either.

This was a replacement for a Fossil wallet. The same style as the old Fossil. New Fossils in the same style were not available and I thought this would be the best alternative. It is okay but the quality of the leather is not as good as the Fossil product, although it is exactly the same in size and arrangement as the old Fossil.I guess you get what you pay for. It appears that this is a cheaper version of the Fossil product. I'll keep it, but next time I'll wait for the Fossil producy to become available.

I have purchased this same wallet from brick and mortar stores for over a decade. Now I can get it online. I absolutely love it as I can hold my checkbook and register and it is very durable. The price is fair too.

Perfect product with tons of storage. Very versatile. All the people griping about bills not fitting would be whining about it being too big for their pockets if it were larger. Manufacturers can't win... no matter what they do, they get criticized. People gripe about everything. This wallet has tons of storage and does everything very well. There are design and engineering compromises in everything. Next issue: Complaints that credit card slots are too tight. Guess what?.. leather stretches. If these slots are too loose when the wallet is new, then your cards may fall out as the wallet wears and ages. I've had this wallet for two years and LOVE IT!!! I'm very organized and really appreciate that this wallet allows me to keep everything in one place. I regularly carry lots of cash and cards and never had a problem. This wallet has tons of other pockets to store nearly anything you need. This is a great value.

Just bought this recently, but the quality of the leather seems good and I was pleased with its thickness. The double flap construction does make it a bit bulky, especially when stuffed with a checkbook, credit cards, cash, etc., but I bought it to hold two checkbooks and there is definitely plenty of room. It has many pockets and tuck-away areas, but be aware that most of them will not conveniently and securely hold US currency without having to fold the bills. I would have given this product Five Stars if it had been just a little bit taller at 7 inches instead of 6.5.

I had my wallet stolen and couldn't find an exact replacement, so I bought this one. I'm almost glad my old one was stolen because thia is the nicest wallet I've ever had or seen.

I have mixed feelings on this wallet. Love all the pockets and the zipper part is awesome, but, the credit card areas are way to feel making it almost impossible at times to get a card out. I'm afraid I will snap one in half. Hate that I threw my old one away
