My Animal Friends Double Deck Metal Pencil Box (Elephant in the Playground)

These two pencil tins are adorable! I almost don't want to use them because I'm afraid that the tins will get scratched.

My kids used to have a big plastic box. It cracked. I wanted to buy something more compact because after all, they just need a few pen and pencil and an eraser. This is why I bought these. While I like the graphic and the overall design, one caution to those with a rough child: the metal can be bent and then the lid won't close properly. The pencil box has two pieces, one of them is a shallow dish for easy access to pen and pencil. One of them that I received keeps falling to the bottom of the box apparently because the box is slightly too wide.

Cute cases but one of them arrived damaged.

I ordered the two pack of pencil cases but, unfortunately, one of them arrived damaged and unusable. I contacted the seller and received no response after a week. (*Edit* Seller did respond after I posted this review and refunded me for the damaged product. I'm a huge believer in customer service so I upped my review to 4 stars from 3 stars to reflect their response.) I did receive this item at a discount in exchange for a review, so returning them or exchanging them isn't really a viable option so I'm reviewing based on what I received.I am still rating this product as 3 stars because the pencil case that wasn't damaged is just what I wanted and works great -- which also adds to the aggravation of having one that I can't use. The cases come up with a removable metal insert tray so you can separate and organize a bit. The case stays shut even with lots of jostling and carrying it around. The cartoons are also really cute and are part of the paint, not just a stencil or sticker.These would be great as any sort of grab-and-go kit: coloring, sewing, etc...anything that has small parts that tend to scatter but you may want somewhere other than home. I'm using my case as a "yarn" kit for my knit and crochet. The case easily carries two boxes of ring counters, a pencil, a small post-it pad, a stitch counter, a needle case full of yarn needles, a threader, a gauge finder, a cable needle, a few crochet hooks, and a pair of embroidery scissors...with plenty of extra room. It's exactly what I needed for an easy grab and go kit for when I travel or am out for the day; all I have to do is grab this and a ball of yarn and I'm good to go.If the second one hadn't arrived damaged, this would have easily received 5 stars.

Cuter than pictured! It is a metal box with a little metal drawer inside. Love it!

It's very colorful and son absolutely loved it. But the inner panel is lose and keep falling inside .

Very good quality metal boxes with 2 levels inside.
