I bought this because I moved back home after living in Tokyo for almost 2 years. Some of the grammar is pretty difficult, but the book itself is really useful for those who want to study business level Japanese, and formal Japanese itself.

Given that I didn't read the other reviews before purchasing, I was also surprised this book only included one set of questions, but I suppose that 問題集 is actually a common expression in Japan and was not purposely meant to mislead the customers.That being said, of course the value for money evaluation will depend on each customer; is it worth spending 700 plus yen on a booklet you can obtain for free on the JLPT website? It depends on if you just want to challenge your skills quickly, or if you want to go a bit more in depth and make some annotations on the pages. For some learners, a lot can still be learned even with just one set of questions.Personally, I don't regret having bought this booklet and the quality is better than the PDF files and the audio offered on the website.However, although maybe not exactly acting in bad faith, I do think that the Japan Foundation should have linked to the PDF files under the Books and References section and allow the students to make an informed purchase, which they did not.Also, in my humble opinion, instead of including a JLPT guideline section in the booklet (which is probably completely useless for someone who is already applying to the JLPT and know what the test is about), some useful explanations (e.g., why is this option correct and not the other?) and not just the correct answers to the questions could have been provided...

This is going to be great for learning Japanese. Word of caution....you must know at least hirigana and katakana before trying to use these books properly.

This book is a good start.If you really want to study well for the JLPT, expect the questions to be more difficult than this. Some sections are actually easier than the practice booklet, but that can depend on your strengths and weaknesses.The real reason to purchase a book like this is to get used to the format of the test, so you don't need to think much about it when you actually take the real one.For actually learning Japanese, look up more traditional methods at intermediate and advanced levels. Joyo Kanji lists, Advanced Grammar books, etc.

It is a good book for Learning about Japanese, this is because it is the actual test. Go buy it
