Baader Planetarium Contrast Booster Filter for 1.25" Eyepieces

I tried this filter for the 1st time a few nights ago on Mars and wholeheartedly recommend this filter to further enhance the color and especially the contrast of Saturn and especially Mars. With the Baader Contrast Booster filter I could easily see features on Mars and both the North and South Polar Caps. Without the filter, viewing of the Mars landscape and especially the polar caps was very hard to discern. Excellent viewing filter that doesn't degrade the image.

Not impressed turns everything to a purple shade. Not worth the money.

Awesome really works for Jupiter's clouds viewed just over the horizons really unstable air was still able to detect redspot even polar cloud systems and the ever elusive moon shadow! Using an ACF8" with 14mm ES 82° afv and the Baader high contrast filter really amazing.

I recently bought this item and am very pleased with it.It worked perfectly on my refractor.The brightness of the city has fallen significantly and the image is much clearer and better looking, exactly what I wanted!Saturn looks wonderful like Jupiter.I have thought about starting my tour of galaxies and nebulae to see the results with my new lens.I highly recommend it!

Seems to help a Lil. Filter is kinda loose. And way too expensive considering the above. I would go for the orion mars filter

Worked excellent to reduce chromatic abberation on my 150mm doublet refractor. My refractor focal length was too long to meet the Semi APO Filter design specs.
