Elephant Garlic was perfectly done.
Tonight we roasted Elephant Garlic bought at the Seattle Pike Place Market. I followed the instructions - kinda. Since I was baking bread, the garlic roasted for an hour at 350 degrees. I did drizzle it with olive oil prior to putting it in the oven. It was fantastic. Elephant Garlic is not as pungent as regular garlic yet the house smelled so good. The garlic was soft, spreadable on the pizza crust and the bread I just baked. I am very happy I choose to get this specialized baker vs. using a pyrex pot with cover. Less to wash. The inside is glazed for easy clean up. I would buy again for a gift.

Cute but large
I’ve been looking for a new garlic toaster for awhile and I thought the garlic shale of this one was cute. It is actually bigger than I expected but it works well so I’m very pleased.

Great quality, easy to clean.
This is very good quality, and works very well. My only complaint has nothing to do with the roaster but with the end product. The garlic is very messy and challenging to squeeze out of the remaining skin (yes, you do remove most of the papery outer layers of the garlic bulb, but you have to leave on the inner skin so it cooks right). I think I'll just have to practice doing it more until I get comfortable with it, as the flavor of roasted garlic is a wonderful addition to so many foods.

Makes perfect roast garlic and its easy to use !
I used this garlic roaster for the first time last night. Although the instructions didn't say so, it's important to soak the top and bottom in cold water a good 15 minutes before using. I set the convection oven for 400, it reduced down automatically to 375 and the garlic cooked perfectly in 40 minutes. It was moist and easy to spread on fresh bread with triple cream brie. Yummy !

Recommended.
Makes great roasted garlic. A pain to clean but only cause I am lazy but probably better for your health than wrapping garlic in aluminum. Does not come with instructions. Lids only fits in one orientation.

Works Great
I use this a lot! I do line it with foil to help keep it clean and make it easy after use. I did have to draw arrows on the lid and base so I know where it matches up because the design makes it difficult to figure out how to close it correctly. I got tired of spinning it until it lined up right.

Odd
This was way bigger than I expected, but also bigger than it needs to be. I certainly found it more useful than an aluminum foil tent, but it was oddly difficult to clean. It required quite a bit of scrubbing to eliminate all the residue from the garlic baking. However, it seemed to provide even roasting of the garlic! Win some, lose some . . .

I love this little garlic roaster
I love this little garlic roaster. Its so cute and does the job. I find it holds 3 smaller garlic bulbs at once.Or one larger one. I wish it held at least two larger ones. But its great. I used to use aluminum foil like everyone else. I only bought this because it was cute. But it works great.
