It is small, lightweight and a good value for your money. However...
It is small, lightweight and a good value for your money. However it does not come close to the claimed 130 mile range. I'm not sure what kind of conditions you would need to be able to achieve the claimed 130 mile range, maybe flat desert with no trees or building. That being said, if you live in a area that has stations within say 30 miles or so the antenna works well. I get 41 channels with good signal quality, but they are all less than 30 miles. The price on this antenna is a good value at less than $20. This antenna works well for me, just be aware that you will most likely not get anywhere near the claimed 130 mile range.

Extremely lightweight and works as promises but the USB cord is too short
This was super easy to assemble and even put up on the wall. The cords all fit well together. It worked very well and gave me, from what I can tell, around 146 channels which was WAY more than I expected as all I wanted were the local channels for news. The closer the channel is to me the better the reception. There are several channels that go in and out based on the weather, however. Simple tech = simple results, I guess.Literally the only complaint I have is the USB cord length from the amplifier to the plug-in is entirely too short. I looked at other designs before selecting this one and chose this because it appeared that the USB cord was the longest...and maybe it is. The issue is I have lots plugged into my surge protector already so after I added this one, the amplifier sits on top of the other cords. I noticed feedback right away on the TV as I can correct it by lifting the little box off of the cords and it goes away. It's as if the amplifier can interfere with the picture if it's too close to the surge protector. I just don't understand why there is tons of length on the antennae but very little for the actual powering of it.

Not as advertised...(both urban and rural areas tested.)
I tried this product in both a urban and rural areas. I bought this to use for a camping trip out of town and at home to finally get rid of expensive cable.(URBAN AREA TEST)I live about 8 miles outside of Austin TX. At my home with several attempts of moving the antenna I could pick up about 25 channels, 17 of them being great quality and no bad pixelation. However, I was disappointed that I was missing FOX channel when the station was only about 16 miles. I also used this antenna in the down town area of Austin and received about 44 channels..most of them with good quality 1080ip and a few with a weak reception.(RURAL AREA TEST)I used this antenna when we went camping in South Texas. We stayed about 60 miles south of Laredo TX and 95 miles North of McAllen TX and received ZERO channels! Not even channels from Mexico at least. The Hotcat antenna advertises to pick up channels within a 130+ mile range with the amplifier. Very disappointing.*I don't think this antenna can pick up any channels over 50 miles and I don't recommend this antenna for rural areas, however this would work perfectly for those who live near by urban areas.

Surprised at how great it works.Light weight, paper thin, effective.
"Majority of the channels are broadcast in HD and have pretty good signal strength. Ill eventually buy a few more for some of my other TVs and cut cable altogether. This antenna is what it claims to be: hd-receiving, very small, very fashionable--and yes, super thin, as well. The picture quality for the few channels I can get is sharp and the color is excellent. I did not give it five stars because I live in an old stucco-covered house and it did not improve my bad reception beyond that of my old-fashioned rabbit ears receiver (older stucco-clad buildings block most tv signals) But the picture sharpness and quality."

Flimsy, low quality cable, awful reception.
Pros:+ Easy to set up.+ Included 3M sticky pads have no problem being taken down and reused multiple times.Cons:- Flimsy antenna construction.- Thin, poorly designed, poorly shielded, cable.- Couldn't pick up stations whose transmitters were less than 20 miles away. Our family has hit a bit of a financial downturn and we needed to cut some bills. Cable TV was our third highest expense and it had to go. I searched around Amazon for low cost flat, amplified digital TV antennas and this one came up as highly rated. My immediate neighbor suggested the 1byOne model but this one seemed better. I wish I had listened. Since it arrived it has been nothing but trouble. The antenna itself feels absolutely flimsy. The attached coaxial cable is half the the width of my neighbor's 1byOne antenna and a quarter of the width of a standard, fully shielded, (typical thick black) coaxial cable. Most of my microUSB cables are thicker than this cord, which means this cord is lacking on shielding. This makes the cable EXTREMELY susceptible to electronic interference, which became evident as the closer I'd let the cable stray towards a power source -- including its own amplifier -- the worse the reception would become. I'm also fairly certain that the cable itself was broken or otherwise internally compromised out of the box. Testing the throughput connectivity with a multimeter shows spotty signal at best and often times no signal at all. When it did work, it wouldn't receive many channels. According to AntennaWeb, I'm 15-19 miles from all of the local transmitters and they estimate I should get between 41-60 channels depending on antenna type and placement. My next door neighbor's 1byOne gets 38 channels with no sweat. This one barely found 15 on its best attempt and best placement. To test, I borrowed my neighbor's antenna and tried it on my TVs and got the same 38 channels when his antenna was sitting in the EXACT SAME spot as the HotCat one. This thing is a dud. I wish I could get my money back and buy a different one but I've already thrown away the packaging. I know which one I'd buy if I could though.
