Was pleasantly surprised with how thick & tough the clear plastic material is. Well worth it for the price. Used it for Hardly, Strictly Bluegrass weekend in a city park, in & out of it several times yet it took the wine spills and cramming jamming quite in stride. Wipes out, so easy to clean. Security could see everything readily, no need to open. Also used for other events since. The only thing I would change (and be willing to pay more for) is better zippers. They’re a little thin & not very smooth to zip, but I’m just being careful with them. I’ll probably just replace them if they tear, as the rest of the bag so far is pretty sturdy and perfect size for daypack (I couldn’t believe how much I fit in there - even a miniature plastic candelabra!).

Our school district finally switched to clear backpacks after several weapons made their way into our schools last year. I 100% support the security measure, but in my previous experience plastic backpacks do not hold up well to heavy use. Our schools also don’t offer lockers so the bags get carried around all day at school and can really take a beating. To my surprise these bags are quite sturdy and aren’t showing any real signs of wear now 3 months into the school year. I picked these specific bags for my 3 kids because they were the most affordable I could find on Amazon that also had padded straps and enough capacity for my high schoolers’ stack of books, binders, art supplies, hoodies, laptops, etc. Definitely pleased with my decision so far.

Our school requires clear backpacks and this has held up for three school years of heavy use in great shape. Heavy vinyl with a fabric bottom and good stitching. The side pockets are big enough to hold a tall water bottle securely. We tried several bags before this one & it's by far the best we've seen.
