Well, it’s exactly as advertised, although I honestly wasn’t entirely sure what to expect smell wise. It’s definitely an interesting smell, that’s for sure. I was thinking of using it in earthy scented soaps blended with a pine scent.

Smells like fresh, clean, dirt. Very strong scent so one doesn't need to use much in carriers.

I love this scent. It makes me feel like I’m gardening or walking in a greenhouse or plant nursery. It’s a little counterintuitive that dirt is actually a fresh, natural, comforting smell.

When I first purchased this oil, I was actually really hesitant. I did not think I liked it. I was looking for the specific smell of petrichor. To me that usually smelled a little bit like clay. Getting this oil, I was really surprised because it has a very distinct actually dirt, mold-like smell.Now the difficulty here is defining different smells, and what they mean to each person. To me, I really was looking for the smell of a wet forest floor. Now, obviously this depends on the forest and its very specific chemistry, but when I got this oil it did not meet my expectations. Now that is not the oils fault because the person who made the oil most likely had completely different expectations and associations.However, after smelling it for a while, I find that this is actually a natural smell, one that gives off the aroma of wet earth, but not as full of Geosmin. It is not clay like. It smells like moldy earth - which might be close to what you’re looking for. I would think this oil would be a good mix in with something.

I am going to use this in a Halloween haunted house. Really does smell exactly like freshly-dug dirt.

This is incredible. I saw this and it was like, I have to buy this, lol. I'm making candles and wanted to try this scent. It does not disappoint. I paired it with cucumber and will probably ground this combo sandalwood. It smells like fresh soil in a very delightful way. I'm just awe struck by the things that people come up with. I'm smiling as I write this.... Oh, and a nice amount for the price point. A little goes a long way. Get this for the gardeners in your life, you and or they, will adore it!

Very earthy.

I was a little skeptical, but it smells more like dirt than dirt does.Imagine waking up in the morning and coming out to sit on your big, white wrap around front porch swing after a fresh morning dew. Minus the cow manure, this is what you would smell..It's amazing. Good for masculine environments. Not overwhelming, but not subtle. It's perfect. For the females, mixing it with lavender or sweet orange and spearmint is very yummy.
