Works perfectly, cheap and simple solution.
I needed this to connect my record player to a new set of bookshelf speakers because I didn't have cables that would reach and this was the cheapest and easiest solution. No change in sound quality, still sounds amazing. Would buy again if needed.

Should have bought these years ago...
Once upon a time, I bought an Alesis compressor/limiter and the only ports on the unit were all 1/4 inch jacks. I bought RCA to 1/4 cables to solve the hookup problem, but those cables weren't gold plated. Over the years, I would have an occasional channel drop out sporadically and then it was always a hunt to figure out which connector was failing to make contact. All you'd have to do is remove and reconnect the cable and it would work again. I bought these recently. Not only does it convert the 1/4 inch jacks to RCA, but I'm hoping the gold plating helps with the connectivity drop out issue. Now I can cable my components with common RCA cables and I apparently have lots of them since they seem to accumulate over time.

RCA extender
Have no idea how long you can keep extending a RCA cable but , this worked for me to run a cable to my bar stereo from an optical sensor box on a bar tv. Like having a Spotify jukebox

Sturdy for the prices
We used these to feed computer audio for videos into our church sound board. The cheaper brands would break, or fail internally, often due to constant use. These are more sturdy and the single body metal construction stands up better to many plug operations.

HORRIBLE QUALITY, WILL BREAK EQUIPMENT.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT. The shape of the end connector locks on so tight to the socket, it's extremely hard to pull out. The pic shows what happens when trying to pull it out. The jacket is glued to the rod. Completely removed when pulling it out. I had to use a flat head screw driver to lift out the rod still suck in my $1k hardware. The problem is when comparing the rod end to a better quality connector rod, this tip has less of a slope and therefore locks into the connector with little give when you pull it out. This is the reason the entire glued jacket rips out of the rod. The tip mid slope needs to be more curved so that its allowed to be inserted and removed easier. I believe using this connector long enough will warp, break, or bend the internal connector plates. BEWARE, this plug WILL permanently damage your equipment.
