A good sounding Bluetooth speaker.
I bought this speaker as I was getting fed up of having to unplug and move my current iPhone dock if I wanted to listen to my music in a different room. I chose this speaker as it’s design intrigued me and I liked that it also could be used as a power bank and as a flashlight. The speaker is charged by using the included usb-c cable which in itself is a really well constructed cable as it’s protected by a leather sheath the whole length of the cable. The ports are protected by a substantial protecting metal cover which seals to make it waterproof.Connecting to the speaker was a breeze using my iPhone and the sound it produces is very good. You can get a decent volume and I didn’t hear any distortion in the volumes I tried. As it’s title says, it’s rich bass and not bass heavy. I’d actually say that it produces a rich sound rather than just a rich bass.Battery life isn’t an issue for me. I was able to charge my phone and listen to music for a good ten hours, still being left with a fair bit of juice left.Build quality looks and feels very good. Yes, you can get a speaker for less, but I doubt any will match the quality of this speaker.

Only one flaw - come on Wharfdale - fix it!
Very Happy with my Exson M, sounds good - not your usual modern over-hyped bass and treble - the rich bass sounds part of the music - which is how it should be. It charges quickly, lasts well and is useful for charging other devices on the go. The device feels very high quality. Syncing with all my music playing devices was completely painless. The ONLY problem - the ridiculous volume of the power up/power down motif - it means I don't dare turn it on at night as it's loud enough to wake my partner and children - even in the next room! Come on Wharfdale - give us a firmware update to fix this glaring issue - and the only reason my review is not 5 stars.

Great Bluetooth Speaker
I have been looking for a bluetooth speaker for talks and training. I also play loads of music and I play it everywhere. This speaker pairs with my desktop PC, my laptop and my phone with no issue. The sound quality is excellent and there is a healthy serving of bass for its size. The handle makes it easy to move the speaker around. I have been using it routinely in the kitchen and in the shower, and it did a fantastic job.
O**!
More useful than I thought!
I originally bought this for use in our garden for a family re-union party. Because it was for outside use in the garden, I wanted 'waterproof' because....hey.....its summertime in England! I trust the Wharfedale brand and sound quality so decided to 'go for it' above other brands I didn't know. It arrived next day and I was up and running within 3 minutes of opening the box ! Its simple to setup with big rubber buttons.Sound quality is surprisingly rich. I have a Pioneer XW-SMA3 which was about 3 times the price and, ok, has Airplay, but the EXSON-M sound is really just as good! Our re-union party in the garden was a success and we could play music clearly. It really helped with the atmosphere without being intrusive and, with small size, it didn't physically get in the way.But....This is actually more useful than just a 'garden' speaker....A friend also does pub quizzes!!! For the music rounds he usually just holds the pub microphone up to his phone speaker to play different tunes. It works ok... but isn't very impressive. So, we lent him the EXSON-M and he Bluetooth'ed it up. He could then walk around the pub, without wires, playing the music questions clearly to the audience. I still didn't get any of the answers to the quiz questions right...but the sound was great and he could walk round playing the music. So, great product and really versatile. Now I've got one.... I continue to find more and more uses for it!

Premium feeling, nice sounding speaker
-Very good sound with pretty deep bass and clear highs and mids.-Connecting is easy and controls are simple.-Very nice design and premium build quality - this is the best part of the product. The handle is metal and the body is made of a soft-touch rubberised plastic. A good quality mesh lines the sides and it has a rubber bottom to stop it sliding. Has a bit of heft to it which is nice and makes it feel premium.-Torch is a little unnecessary, but it's there if you ever need it.-The speaker makes a very loud and annoying noise when you turn it on and off which you can't turn down.-Not the loudest speaker so it might not be great outdoors or in a loud environment, however, it is great for indoor use and the volume should be loud enough for most people.-Comes with a high quality leather USB-C cable which is very nice as a lot of speakers still use Micro-USB.

Great Sound for the price
Did loads of research after hearing a Bose Midi 1 playing in an aircraft hanger. I was put off by the high price of the Bose.Saw good reviews for this, and they're all pretty accurate. The sound quality is excellent, possibly better than the Bose, with good bass response, that seems part of the music rather than detached and boomyAs already described, the power on/ off and Bluetooth sounds are too loud, annoying and can't be turned off. My wife dosent like the design, It's is a bit of a brick, and unless using for camping the torch is a waste of time. But for the the money, best sound so far. Was just going to return if I didn't like it, but it's a keeper, may even consider a second one for stereo sound.
