This is a GREAT sewing kit. The case is very nice, the little scissors actually will cut thread, it has 2 needle threaders, quality needles, and other accessories that I might not use, but you might. The needles are in a very nice round dispensing case (most sewing kits have cheap needles in a piece of aluminum foil..you know what I'm talking about), that are very hard to thread...these needles are great. I highly recommend this sewing kit to keep on hand for emergencies. The thread rolls are used for emergencies, so they are small, but that's understandable. If you have a color you like, buy a larger roll for daily use. I'm very happy with this purchase.

I originally bought this kit in order to make small repairs to my clothes and uniforms, and it fits the bill nicely. It's got everything you'll need to do small projects or minor repairs. The only issue I have with the kit, which is probably to be expected at the price point, is that everything is just a little flimsy. I find that it I am working with heavier fabrics, or on something more complicated than a minor repair, then I end up my wife's more serious sewing set. All things considered though, this is a good little set!

I purchased two of these kits, one for a camping/extended travel kit and one for home. The kit itself is well thought out as far as the items involved and the layout. There was just enough room in the kit for me to throw in a little teeny LED headlight. It's nice to have sufficient thread, large-headed pins, and particularly a measuring tape in a kit for any real repairs. The 'scissors' / thread cutters (you will not be cutting any cloth of substance with these) will not cause TSA agents to go into a panic - you could do more damage with the measuring tape, probably. However, please note that at least in the two kits I received, the items within the kits themselves were of fairly poor quality. The needles were very poorly machined, so much so that I ended up buying another pack of needles at the store and replacing the needles in the case - the eyes were so twisted and rough that they were almost unthreadable, and, when I tried one of them out, it severed the thread as I was using it. The needle threaders included were also just plain bad. The threading loops are not made of springy steel, and, so, when the thread is drawn through the needle, you just end up with a sad little mass of wire and thread in your poorly machined needle. I ended up replacing the needle threaders with ones from prior kits. You could also use floss loops - I don't know the name for these, but I have seen them in the dental aisle. The safety pins are about as poorly made as the needles, but they'll work for a little while. I haven't put the ripper to any real use but I am not filled with confidence; however, it would be unfair of me to condemn it without trying it. The thimble does what it needs to do. The measuring tape appears grossly accurate; we're not building a space shuttle or anything here, after all. I don't know if the problems I had are unique to the 2 kits I received. As per the friendly little card I received with the kits, I wrote the seller with my concerns before writing this review. I have not heard back from her. I did check my spam filter. Overall: nice idea, nice selection of items. Unfortunately, the quality of some crucial items was subpar. Excellent size/layout for travel.

This is a very handy and functional sewing kit. It has everything you could possibly need in an emergency as well as things you might not have realized you need. My son in college needed something to mend his clothes. This made his life so much easier. It is so compact, you don't realize how many items are inside! My favorites are the seam ripper and the needle threader. I've always had problems threading needles so this is a must for me. I ended up buying one for my newlywed daughter who has no room for a sewing machine or supplies and one for my car in case of emergencies. With this kit, almost any sewing emergency can easily be taken care of.

I was really impressed when I got this sewing kit and opened it to see what all was inside. I recently started having to wear button down aloha shirts for work and pulling a shirt out of the washing machine and hearing a loose button fall out has been annoying. The only sewing kit I had until I purchased this one was one of those little boxed sets they give at hotels so this kit was a huge step up. A few days after I purchased this kit, I got an email with a bunch of useful tips and a friendly reminder that the free e-book offered with the kit was available for download. It comes as a pdf file and has some very useful instructions and tips in it. Overall this kit was a great purchase and I'll probably be picking up a couple more to give as gifts. I received my kit on time and in great shape. It's a very nice little kit and I have used it to do some mending already. I wished I could have examined it before I purchased it though it looked like the perfect kit from the photo and I plan to keep it because I need sewing supplies all together where I can find them. It is perfect for what I need.

Very frustrating. They seemed to spend more on marketing than on product. If this is premium then standard must be horrible. I am amazed at how cheap and poor that these items can be made. Instead of two needle threaders, how about one good one? Instead of 10 needles (half to small to use) how about 3 good ones in a case that works easily. Instead of a pencil and tiny measuring tape, how about some decent thread? Instead of a wide array of colored pins, how about a little more thread? 2 stars instead of 1 because I was able to mend a few things that needed mending.

Really happy with this sewing kit. It has all the necessities - including 2 needle threaders and a seam ripper. Even has a small pair of scissors. Perfect to carry in your purse, briefcase or checked luggage for air travel. In addition to having everything you would need to fix a wardrobe emergency, it has a sturdy zippered case so nothing will fall out which is really important in the case of needles and pins, etc.
