Excellent!!! Buy it!!! Thank me later!!! 😄
Excellent tailgate ladder!!!Super easy installation! I didn’t even bother reading the instructions. It’s an intuitive design that is both simple, yet strong. It’s actually quite sturdy and very well made. Here’s a little tip to anyone that has purchased this ladder and left negative reviews regarding the linchpins not fitting into the vertical leg frame holes…THAT’S NOT WHERE THEY GO!!! The linchpins are used in the base plate pivot hinge holes! The linchpins are to allow for removal of the entire ladder assembly when the need may arise. NOT for adjusting the ladder length.I would think this should be obvious, but apparently to some people, it’s not.The self drilling mounting screws are great! I used a total of four to mount the baseplate to the tailgate. Two between the pivot points and one at each of the opposite corners. All of the stress on the baseplate is lateral, not perpendicular, so it has very little angular stress on it, even when under full load.Bear in mind that my ladder is installed on a steel Chevy tailgate, not an aluminum tailgate, such as the newer Fords have. Either way, all baseplate stress loads are lateral, so it only needs a few of the supplied screws to secure it properly. As a side note, due to the design of the pivot hinges when the ladder is deployed, there is enough left to right placement adjustment of the ladder feet to allow for both of the ladder feet to make firm contact with the ground. Even if the ground is slightly uneven.I have not used this ladder on any type of soft ground, such as sand, nor would I recommend it without having something such as a piece of plywood, or something similar to place under the ladder feet to evenly distribute the load. However I have used it on firm ground (grassy lawn) and it works great.I’ve had this on my truck for only about a week thus far, however I’ve used it probably 30-40 times already. My two daughters recently moved into a new home and I helped them move their furniture and belongings. This ladder made it so, so much easier for loading and unloading my truck!!!I’ve yet to find any issues at all with this product. The longer I have it, the more I wonder how I ever got along without it all these years! 😉I really, really like this ladder and I very highly recommend it!!! 😄

Save your knees and bones!
Bought this for my F150. At almost 60 years of age, I know better than to hop down from the bed of my truck but stopping to sit down and slide off the tailgate is aggravating. Carrying around a loose ladder in the bed is aggravating when I find it slid up near the cab. So, I decided to get this fold down ladder. It's one of my best purchases ever. While on vacation, I was able to load the truck bed with all our stuff with no issue. Unloading was just as easy with someone picking up the items from the tailgate. The ladder attached easy with a drill and the strap keeps the ladder firmly in place while traveling. I also have heard no noise from it, even when traveling on dirt and gravel roads. Highly recommend!

Good value, seems sturdy enough
Mounted this ladder on our 2023 Jeep Gladiator. It appears to be a good value for the money. You might need to debur and ream out the holes that the pins go through to adjust the ladder length. I had to do that, because the holes were very tight. It seems sturdy, and I would buy it again.

Awesome for vertically challenged folks!
I own a 2013 Silverado 3500 and until I got this tailgate ladder, I kept a 3-step folding aluminum ladder tied in the bed with a bunggy cord! Love my truck, but the suspension is so high I couldn't get in the bed without a box or ladder to step up on, let alone check my oil or anything under the hood*! This ladder was easy to install and took about 20 minutes from the start of collecting the tools needed, to finishing the install and having them all put away.My only complaint, although they thought of every thing else, was the lack of two large 1/2" diameter flat washers for the screws to secure the tie-down strap with. The strap has little metal grommets stuck in the strap webbing at each end for the screws (rivet style), but there's nothing to keep the weight of the ladder from pulling them out and ripping the strap off that holds the ladder in place when not in use! A search through my spare nuts and bolts bin produced two 1/2" diameter flat washers to secure the strap, and I was finished! It's so much easier and quicker to get in and out of the bed now without having to untie the folding aluminum step ladder I carried around that was always in the way and bouncing around being noisy. This ladder stays put and out of the way against the tailgate when not in use. And no noise when driving down the road bouncing around! Ladder is solidly built too! Awesome!*BTW, I also solved the under-the-hood-access problem with a Heavy Duty Tire Step for Trucks and SUV's found on Amazon here --> https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002Q8TWI . I actually bought two of them; one for each side so when accessing/working under the hood, and/or needing to load or reach things in the bed from the side. I've got all angles covered now regarding easy access to my high suspension diesel truck! Neat tools that are worth every penny! Get yours now and stop complaining every time you need to get in and out of the bed, or up under the hood!!! - Enjoy!

It is sturdy and very easy to install.
All of the positive reviews have proven to be 100% accurate. It arrived when it was expected and in pristine condition. The installation was absolutely straight forward, and to be honest it probably took longer for me to figure out exactly where I wanted to mount it than it actually took to do the work. (only a slight exaggeration) It honestly only took about 15 minutes to install.I mounted this on a 2024 RAM 1500 and the fit is perfect. The only change I made and would recommend to the manufacturer is add a second strap. Make no mistake, it works fine without the second strap, no rattling could be heard while driving, but the fit is loose when stored, so I added a second one just because I can be a little fussy about things like that. The picture is from before I put on the second strap, but I placed it at the spot just before the ladder narrows to mount to the plate.Really good product and I would certainly recommend it.
