Good company. Bad antenna for a highway driven vehicle
The antenna worked as it should but the magnet is not strong enough for highway speeds on top of a vehicle. That is unless it is blocked by something to reduce wind on it. Great entry antenna and awesome customer service from this company. Unfortunately I put the antenna on the roof of my vehicle and it didn’t last long at 70+mph speeds. The company made it right and I definitely will be buying from them again

Magnet holds well and road speed....
Works as advertised. I had a 1.7 SWR so didn't trim the antenna. You can coil and uncoil the cable to tweak it a little. Magnet holds well and road speed..

Good product,excellent shipping time.
Worked perfectly the antenna wire is a great length plenty to work with. good size went together very easy the magnet is pretty strong.looks good.it mite feel kind of flimsy at first but once secured its not bad.overall good product.

Stripped screw :(
Everything else seemed to be assembled ok, but couldn't use at all because the tiny screw that holds the antenna in place was stripped, so the antenna isn't secure and just slips out.

Very practical. Efficient enough (SWR 1.2).
Easily holds on magnetically to car roof. Ran cable through foam with closed window, excess cable looped as recommended under passenger seat. Both cars with same antenna reliably communicated 3.8 miles through winding roadway, trees, buildings, etc. The best SWR was 1.2, which means only 10% of radio energy is reflected back. Would take a much larger antenna to get slightly more efficiency. Need SWR meter to tune the antenna. Allen wrench was included, and adjustment in height was only 1/8 inch. For the other car, no adjustment required, according to the SWR reading.

Very low quality with many problems
1. The magnetic base isn't strong enough, it blew off after the first trip. I affixed it to my roof with silicon which proved to be a huge mistake. 2. The whip is thin, non-spring steel. It is very easily bent and it stays bent. 3. There is no "forgiveness" in the tuning. If you trim the antenna too short, there is no backing out. I never got better than 3.0 SWR. If I'm generous, I'll chalk this up to user error. 4. I removed the antenna after only a few weeks and there was already a substantial amount of rust leaching from the magnetic base out onto my roof. 5. The screw in mount is not the typical 3/8 inch bolt and the coax is permanently connected. This means that if you need to replace the whip then the base and all of the wire also has to be removed.

Worked good
Fast shipping connected it to my old CB and it worked great. With my old CB radio it got out to about 5 miles.

Rush purchase, do your homework
Got this as a next-day delivery, since I was headed out of town and wanted to be on sideband while I drove. My old mag mount cable got pinched and shorted out. This was not much better.... the whip is very flimsy, the magnet does stick but needs a bigger footprint. The package came with no instructions, so I tried the lock washer on the bottom and the mid-mount point. No difference, but where the bottom post meets the spring, that transition (chrome to brass) was not soldered , just pinched. That came loose, and even when trying to tune the whip (SWR never got below 2.0), it always measured too short for CB Frequencies. As I was removing it the final time, the center load cover seemed like it was loosening. From now on for my radio stuff I'm buying recognizable brand names.

I bought this antenna to use on the roof of my Mercedes Sprinter van. I wanted a portable because I can take it down when I need to. I spent the best part of a day trying it on different locations on the roof, and yes, the vehicle was out in the clear with no obstructions around it. The build is flimsy and the grub screw holding the top part of the antenna is weak. In my humble opinion this antenna is no good and I would not waste your money on it. You get what you pay for - not much. Oh, and by the way the magnetic mount is not strong like you describe, it too is weak.
