Exactly the adapter I needed
So you need an adapter to convert a 1.5" thread to 0.5? This is what you need. This adapter has a 1/2" NPT thread in the middle and 1-1/2" NPT on the outside. It's well made and was exactly what I was looking for.In the last photo you'll see that it fits into a 1.5" pool return. (I didn't screw it in all the way). I need it to install a pool light that has a 1/2" thread on it so this was absolutely perfect for this application. Yes it's a little pricey for a small piece of plastic but it's worth it when it's the exact right thing you need.

I'm liking this one
It was difficult to locate an adapter of this size. Was so fortunate to locate one here on Amazon. It is made of a very strong, high quality plastic and was precission cut. No hanging edges that needed trimming like so many plastic things do. What can I say except it fit perfectly and did exactly what was needed of it.
