Not yet sure how the product works just yet. I have been taking CoQ10 for more than 10 years. I actually am not a big fan of the Q10 variations. I have been taking Jarrow since day one. Powder. Pure powder. I have strayed many times, but always went back to Jarrow. I know how I feel when it is working and I know how I feel when it is not. Also notice when I've run out and my body slowly begins to change. More tired, less giddy-up. Circulation is different. So here I go again, trying another brand. Why? Money. I was tempted to stray from Jarrow because i saw 800mg, 60 caps. I take 800 a day. So I was on board to try this bargain. Well, received today. NOPE. Not 800mg. They are 400mg. So the 800mg on the front label is "per serving," which is noted in the fine print on the back. Serving size is 2, which equates to 800mg. This is a game many supplement companies play. It is deceptive. Should always read the fine print. I ALMOST always do. Guilty as charged. But this does give me a bad feeling about the Q10. If you see a roach in a restaurant, that is not the only roach. Yeah, gross. I'm only saying, if the company has complete confidence in their products and the value of the products they sell, why play with deception. I bought a package of 2 plus pounds of Blue Ribbon bacon. Like it for a number of reasons. No more. When I opened the package and pulled the "window" strip from the slab, it was beautifully lean. The next slice, along with the rest of the slab, was very fatty. They actually went to the trouble of putty one slice of lean over the fatty slab. Crazy. Didn't someone think about the consumer, that the consumer would get furious and never buy another Blue Ribbon product again??? That was 5-6 years ago. Have not bought since. Okay, so this is not bacon. This is not quite as bad, I guess. So many supplement companies resort to this. However, even Jarrow's small caps at 30mg still call a serving 1 cap. I am pretty sure I have never seen a CoQ10 serving noted as 800mg. Pretty sure I have not seen 400mg to be a serving. Noting "Extra Strength 800mg" on the front label is deceptive. They can soften the deception by simply stating "Extra Strength 800mg Per Serving," but that is still a slippery slope. So I am skeptic here even before I take my first cap. Remember, no way this is an oversight. This is a common practice by supplement companies. Not an honest mistake; intentional deception to make you think you are getting double what you are truly getting. I must admit, however, I was paying 15.00 for Jarrow 200mg 60 caps. So, 12,000mg. At 400mg per, at 60 caps ... 24,000mg. A good value, even with the deception. I noticed another reviewer has a condition where a large dose is required. She mentioned 4 caps equaling 3200mg. She was/is thrilled by the value. I hope she has noticed by now that she is taking 1/2 what she thought. Kind of important, as she understands the dose she needs. Clearly, like me, she would feel deceived.
