When I received the package, i was highly impressed by the way the knives were packaged. They come with a knife sharpener and a gorgeous box and knife guards on each knife. They look like they cost a lot more than they do because the quality shows in the packaging and more importantly, the knives. I have been using them for about 3 weeks now and I found them to be extremely sharp when cutting everything from steak to a grapefruit. They feel good in your hand and the handle is made very well; its the perfect weight. I absolutely LOVE using these knives they are better than those other lighly rated name brand steak knives by a long shot! You cannot go wrong buying these. They look classy on my dining table when the table is set. I follow the instructions by hand washing and drying them after each use and they do not have any stains or spots on them.

My first attempt at replacing my 20 year old steak knives was to buy Dalstrong serrated steak knives. Unfortunately after a few uses I decided that I really didn't like the way the deep serrations tore up the meat. Searching for non-serrated knives I found these. I love the appearance and feel and they do a really nice job of cutting. My only complaint is that they stain easily. I used a couple of them to cut chili dogs, and both were stained afterwards even though they were washed and dried immediately after use. A little cream of tartar removed the stains but neither my Dalstrong knives nor my old Henkel knives have had that problem. I hear that harder types of stainless steel can be more prone to stains, so I wouldn't consider it a quality problem, just an annoyance.Update: I've decided to raise the rating from 4 to 5. After my original problem with staining on two of them, I washed all four using cream of tartar (an acid) to make sure any surface impurities were cleaned off. In order to see if the staining was going to be a problem, I decided to try to re-create it. I took two of the knives and exposed them for several minutes to ketchup, hot sauce, and finally canned chili, and I had no staining whatsoever nor have I seen it in regular use since then. At this point, it appears to have been a first use only thing and might possibly have been avoided if I had given them a better washing prior to using them the first time.I should also mention how nice the handle material is. Much nicer look and feel than Pakkawood, I would say comparable or maybe even nicer than the G10 handle on my chef knife. The tang is not as heavy however as the Dalstrong which actually weighs about 20% more. I included a picture to show size comparison.

Overall nice knife. Started out very sharp. Good feel. Don't know if it's just me but they don't seem to hold an edge. I've sharpened them 4 times in 3 months.

After several “cheaper” steak knives, were very pleased with these knives. They cut through steak, pork chops or turkey with ease. Packaging is beautiful, lined cushioned box. Knives are balanced and easy to hold and use. I’m so glad we got rid of the serrated POS we bought earlier, these are definitely worth it! Only con: 4 knives. But since we’re not having any company until Covid is not an issue, this is not really an issue, and if we do decide to have family over for the holidays this year or next, I’ll order another set!

Packaging is above Par. The box they come in provide a very nice and modern opening experience. Elegance for sure. The knives themselves are very nice and modern as well. They have a very good edge. This also comes with a simple knife sharpener. I decided to try the sharpener on a kitchen chef knife that I already opened, and it worked very quickly. The sharpener does ok for what it is. I have a wicked edge $800 knife sharpener set so that will be what I use for these nice knives. I will use this sharpener provided for my cheaper Walmart knives. Over all great quality. This message was 20 min after my steak dinner I made. They cut the 1.5" steaks like butter. Easley 5/5 stars and recommend for any buyer wanting good quality knives without spending big money on high end knives.

I’ve been a knife freak for years. I had a set of 8 Henckel steak knives and absolutely had great expectations. Totally disappointed. I’ve got 4 Shun chef knives and wanted something that matched them without having to pay Shun prices for steak knives. I researched and landed on these Marksford knives. First impression was outstanding. As an ad agency owner, we deal with packaging and impression continually. These knives are absolutely presented with quality, value and workmanship. Oh...and the knives themselves. They are insanely sharp, strong and beautiful. Like a scalpel. Well done Marksford.

I only just received my knives to replace the full dinosaurs in my drawer. They are elegant, yet rugid enough that you're not afraid to use them. Needless to say, they are razor sharp. Special care instructions are included to store and prolong their lifespan. Included is a V style sharpener, along with a soft bag for storing it. I recommend that you just keep the included box for their storage, as it is impressive looking and more than adequate at safely putting away with your lesser dinner ware.I gave a three-star review simply because... my package clearly contained (picture included) only three knives. And that is really the first thing I noticed when first opening them. I am impressed with the product, but the marketing leads me to wonder if this elaborate description is even for the knife set that I paid for. So, I'm slightly unhappy.EDIT: A representative for Marksford contacted me about my missing knife. After just a handful of short e-mail exchanges, Marksford will be completing my set. And these e-mails were conducted after typical business hours, as well. I give them an A+ in service! I am extremely impressed and have changed my review to five stars.

Nice blade, very nicely packaged so perfect for gift. The handle is comfortable, long enough and shaped well. Blade seems really good, right thickness, definitely of the higher quality level. The Micarta wood looks really good and is reputed to be very durable. They are neither small nor too big but they are on the larger side of medium, just perfect for adult hand. Not an everyday knife you throw in dishwasher tray.They cut steak perfectly and come with a little sharpener, again great as gift.

I was searching for a set of non serrated steak knives and after seeing a lot of expensive options I saw these. Now, there are cheaper options out there for sure but given my quest for quality I was prepared to pay a bit more than the cheapest options but was not willing to pay the high end price either. So, I chose Marksford.The packaging is beautiful. Definitely suitable as a gift.The knives looked great straight out of the box. I inspected mine closely (I have high standards - lol) and I found one of my knives had a tiny (and I do mean tiny) cut in the handle. So, I made an inquiry to Marksford as to whether this would affect it going forward and included photos. Dean from Marksford replied quickly and I had a replacement in no time at all ...no questions asked. So from my point of view - Customer Service is exceptional and Marksford clearly stands by their products!!That small issues aside, I have been impressed with their quality. They look great, they feel comfortable in my hands and they cut so easily.I am definitely not disappointed I purchased these knives.I am happy to use them for our family and I am also proud to bring them out when we have guests. They look the part and they back it up by doing the job they were made to do ...and they do it effortlessly.I love these knives and I love steak ...so yes, I am one happy customer!!I have not tried the more expensive options but I can say I am 100% satisfied with these knives so far!!
