Compact and ideal for route-planning, but lacks detail with its small scale.
This is a handy, compact road atlas ideal for keeping in the back of the car for occasional use. The scale is 10 miles to an inch so only main routes are shown making it suitable for route-planning, particularly longer journeys but it lacks detail for reaching smaller towns, villages and settlements. Because the pages are quite small, along with the scale, it requires reasonable eyesight to read it too.I keep it under the seat to refer to if/when sat-nav fails or for getting my bearings in an unfamiliar area and learning what towns are close by while also route-planning to my next destination. It is ideal for this, takes up little space and the spring-bound pages fold flat making it quick and easy to use.For its current price of £2.49 it is a bargain and half of the £4.99 stamped price on the rear cover.

Ideal for my glovebox
I always like to plan a route with a map before relying on SatNav. This smaller book of maps is ideal for that. Fits in the glovebox.

No batteries to run down.
It’s great in your travel pack for those occasions when technology lets you down..

Handy map.
Handy size but you'll need decent eyesight or glasses.

Too small
Print too small to read. Very thin like a pamphlet. Disappointed.
