Ironhide
Another great addition from the MPM line.this one is a little more complicated in the transformation and not to fun if your looking for something to play around with. The shoulders are tricky and look a little weird in robot mode,i wish they could of made that a little better as well as his shoulder/chest plates don't seem to tab in so they kind of just flop around.if your looking for just a nice display piece like i was, then this is a good one.very movie accurate and detailed

Masterpiece with a capital Minded!!!
First it arrived with box in near mint Collector Grade box, which often is rare at times. Second it’s a high quality a Transformer, many die cast parts. Very sturdy transformer even with the extent of detail in the figure....right down to the rotating turret weapons that attach to his arms.

A Great MPM Addition for More Advanced Fans
This figure is another entry in the Movie Masterpiece branch of the Transformers Masterpiece collection. The Masterpiece line is a collection of transformers figures aimed at serious Transformers fans. Thus, the figure is more of a collector's item than child's toy. It's more fragile than the average transformers toys and is more complicated to convert. Firstly, I was awed by the level of detail on this Ironhide. His robot mode is extremely detailed, and everything is proportioned very well, though his arms look scrawny from some angles. He is well sculpted, looking more three-dimensional than other Transformers figures. His cannons are extremely detailed, with the detailing sculpted in rather than painted. They aren't ridiculously large, but they still look imposing. An important detail to note is that the robot mode has almost no kibble (extraneous parts left over from the other form). Ironhide lacks any kind of backpack, and, aside from a couple of panels on his arms (which can be maneuvered out of sight) his vehicle mode practically disappears into the robot form. In truck mode, he's pretty well detailed, from his bumpers to the doors, which have door handles engraved on them. The truck is slightly raised above the wheels, giving them an "all-terrain 4x4" feel. Unfortunately, Ironhide's die-cast metal toes hang down behind the bumper. Other than that, the truck doesn't have any kibble either. The cannons can be attached to the side doors, though they aren't discreet. Overall, he's beautiful to look at in either mode. As far as flexibility goes, Ironhide covers all the basics. His arms hang off the backs of his shoulders, though, which means he can't raise his arms up all the way. However, they can be swiveled around, which compensates for that. On the other hand he has hand and neck flexibility, including mouth movement. His shoulders have small tabs that his arms can rest on, allowing Ironhide to keep his arms suspended over his head. Finally, Ironhide can balance leaning forward on his waist. Additionally, almost every joint is ratcheted, so he can hold his poses. Finally, there's the transformation. The instructions themselves are pretty standard, provided you're familiar with Transformers instructions in general. Most of the transformation is fine. However, it gets sticky when it comes to packing his arms and shoulders into the truck cabin and covering them with panels. The instructions don't clearly define what to do with his arms, and the panels that need to be tabbed in to cover everything don't always tab in perfectly. This was the first transformer where I had to consult a video for help. It's one of the most complicated transformations I've seen, and a child would likely need a lot of help. However, it becomes much easier after the first few times. If you're content with one or two slightly loose tabs, then the transformation is complicated, but doable. Pros: *Beautiful to look at *Screen accurate *Flexible *Holds poses *Hefty Cons: *Somewhat scrawny arms *The panels on the back of his arms can look slightly unwieldy without the cannons *Complicated transformation In closing, I think this figure is a movie masterpiece. If you're a fan of the movie designs or a fan of Ironhide in general (like I am), I recommend giving this a try. If you're not a serious collector or looking for a more kid-friendly toy, then I'd recommend trying the Studio Series 18 Voyager Ironhide. It's cheaper, will probably handle being played with better, and is simpler to transform. If you're looking for a movie-accurate addition to your collection, though, this one takes the cake.

Amazing looking Masterpiece Ironhide
This masterpiece Ironhide figure had a lot of bad reviews The Arms and the chest are flimsy they have an upgrade kit for this figure that attaches to the back of his arms it makes him a great figure a must-have in my opinion.

You need patience with the masterpiece movie series
I like the way the robot looks. I am an artist and being able to pose the figure gives me options when trying to recreate something on paper, canvas, or the wall even. The detail is great but transforming the figure to the truck did take some patience.

Best Ironhide Ever!
My son loves this Transformer. He says it scales great with the 2009 Leader Optimus Prime. He displays it with Optimus, Human Alliance Bee, and Human Alliance Sideswipe.

Another MPM Frustration
Like MPM-4 Optimus Prime, this is a fantastic representation of the on-screen character in robot mode. Also like the aforementioned piece, turning it into a truck is a frustrating experience. At least with Ironhide most of the alt mode can be achieved quickly and with ease, but the final steps where everything needs to tab in just so, in just the right order, are nothing but frustrating. Everything makes sense and you can see where it's supposed to go, and eventually you can get it there (unlike on Prime.) It seems the choice of materials is a double edged sword - they needed rigid tabs so that everything could hold together, but this rigidity makes it downright tough to get some pieces into place without torquing others right back out of alignment. It's difficult to try and force pieces into where they should go as well since there's a lot of paint on the figure that you won't want to scratch. Ultimately, more paint is a good thing, but it still doesn't assist the overall experience of transforming the figure from robot to truck. Truck to robot goes just fine, and again, the robot mode looks great. I think collectors that tend to transform things once or twice then leave them on a shelf will find nothing overly negative about this piece. If you enjoy transforming your Transformers, this is another MPM entry that I would not recommend.

Five star for the seller. One star for the Vietnam manufacture. When I transformed this phase, I found sth that makes me feel very awful. The GMC logo is double printed. Unbelievable!! The defect in the logo makes it impossible to snap the truck hood into place. It really sucks. Besides, Amazon cancel button is useless and really rubbish. Don't buy this product is my only suggestion.

It's a good detailed Transformers 2007 movie figure with good articulation but the shoulder / front of the Pick up truck is very free floating. Its a fiddly transformation from robot to vehicle mode as its not easy to lock the the side windows in to place with the rest of the front of truck mode. The other TF movie Ironhide's figures are easier to change into truck mode & lock into place better. The truck & robot mode R really good & near perfect to the TF movie character. It's a medium sized good robot mode & a nice big pick up truck that's as good as any scale model vehicle. Over he fits in well with his TF MPM movie autobots & Decepticons.

maybe i just received a better QC item but mine transforms quite well if you know what your doing. In truck mode he looks awesome ! transforming him wasn't to difficult , good use of metal, range of motion isn't the greatest but his detailing and movie accuracy make up for it. He stands str8 fine but cant do many poses with him or else he will tip over. All in all great collectors piece and right now you can get him pretty much everywhere at a discount so dont hesitate just get it !
