Poor quality item
HID/LED Resistors were relatively easy to set up. plug and play and then find a mount appropriate to avoid melting the plastics on your vehicle since the resistors do get very hot. However, because the product is cheaply made, what I noticed is that the electrical tape that binds the wires to the metal well eventually melt, loosen, and separate which will result and flickering and the aftermarket LED headlights you purchased to stop working. Now, I have tried soldering the wires to the metal part that didn't work. I tried re taping it that didn't work. Overall, I believe that the design of these resistors is not good. Or rather the quality is so poor that it makes the device useless and ineffective. I used mine for roughly 2 weeks before I noticed my left led headlight was Flickering. Afterwards, moments later, that headlight went out. It was nighttime so I checked the following morning and that is when I noticed the separation of the plastic or tape from the resistor. I am disappointed and will look for another brand to purchase from.

Incorrect part and description, and it was late.
Item description clearly states these will fit a 9005 headlight bulb when in fact they do not. The pins and receiving end on a 9005 bulb and harness are spaced about 2 millimeters farther apart than these resistors so everyone trying to install these and complaining that the pins are bending or breaking, this is why; Looking at the picture you can see the female end of my factory harness is circled in green and the female end of the item in question is circled in red. I used the female ends because it will be easier to compare. The male ends are the same and also do not match up. This item is set up for an H11 bulb conector and harness not a 9005. Also I didn't get it until 3 days late.UPDATE: Part was packaged incorrectly. Part was taken in return and the correct part was quickly sent as replacement with no questions and at no charge so changed from 1 star to 3 stars. Thanks.

All resistors get hot
Lots of reviews stating how hot the resistor gets, a resistor resists the electrical current passing through it and that current has to go somewhere. Its dissipated in the form of heat, all resistors will get hot. The simple solution is to insulate the resistor. I used automotive heat sleeve which was inconvenient to apply due to having to disassemble the wiring harness, but a fun project and an easy fix. Once the resistor is insulated these are a great value, clipped right on and stopped the flickering.

Resistors did work...
Ordered H7 resistor harness, so I wouldn't have to cut or splice anything. Well, I'm not sure what I got, but it wasn't H7, looked like 9006 or something similar. Ended up having to cut and splice my wiring, which was the whole reason I bought these over bare resistors, but they did work once I got them spliced into my factory headlight harness.

What do you expect
These are cheap for a reason. Do they work? Yes. The parts are similar to other led resistors. Both male connectors were difficult to align the pins in the female connector. One when I pushed the two together actually pushed one pin out exposing the poor crimp, with several wire strands not in the crimp. Since most wires were I just put the pin in in place and completed my install, afraid if I looked closely I'd be taking all connectors apart and redoing them. Like I said they work, this project is done.... next time I get some other brand.

Overheats, melts light housing and wire protection, battery drain, throws varieties of error codes.
Overheats, melt light housing and wire protection, battery drain, and throws varieties of error codes. It may have lit up my LED lightbulb but it was giving my 2013 Cmax slew of error codes and draining its battery. It also made the radio not work I guess it is a parasitic drainer for the electrical system. So I decided to replace my halogen light back and use this on my grand caravan and Cmax is back to its normal function with no error codes.Unfortunately a few minutes after installing this device on my grand caravan, the engine light turned on. The only difference - installing this device. How is it doing this? I have no clue.

They get hot!
If you're installing these be aware that they get VERY hot. They need to be mounted to a metal surface (usually outside of the headlight housing). If i'd designed them, i'd have left the wire sets to the resistors off since they're not really long enough to reach anywhere. I had to make jumper wires so the resisters could be attached to the metal frame.

Perfect plug-and-play option
I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota and these were the perfect plug-and-play option I was looking for when converting my headlight to LEDs. I read in a few comments that the resistors get hot and they really do. I doubt they’d catch anything on fire, but just in case I wrapped the resistors in EZ fuse tape, it’s rated up to 500degrees F. I only rated it 4-stars because I felt the need to take that precaution, I’d be nice if they came preinsulated.
